Remember back in September when the Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill had that run-in with the cops? Yeah, that drama hasn’t quite settled. Fast forward to November, and Cheetah’s still holding a grudge against the MDPD. Why? Well, per his word, his wrist injury—yep, the one that’s been making headlines lately—is a result of the rough treatment he received during that temporary detainment. So, what’s the update on the injury?
The Phins’ #10 missed Wednesday’s practice but the WR coach Wes Welker says Tyreek’s wrist isn’t messing with his game. Guess that’s why he suited up against the Rams despite being questionable before the game. In fact, Wes has even given props to both Hill and Jaylen Waddle for finding ways to break through defenses.
“We’re starting to realize how perfect we have to be,” Welker said, referring to the way teams are defending them and jamming them at the line. So, while Tyreek may be nursing that wrist, his ability to get open? Yeah, that’s still top-tier.

Dolphins WR coach Wes Welker said Tyreek’s performance is NOT being affected by wrist injury. Said Waddle/Hill “are starting to realize how perfect we have to be” to get them open and involved with the way teams are defending them and jamming them at line.

And Hill’s no stranger to a few dings. According to Chris Perkins from the Sun Sentinel, Tyreek’s been dealing with injuries to both hands this season. Right thumb injury from training camp and now his left wrist. It sounds like he’s got both hands in the game, bruises, and all. But you know Hill…
The Phins may be tightening up their routes and defenses might be laying on the pressure, but Tyreek’s still got his trademark burst. So, is a sore wrist enough to stop the Cheetah? Not a chance.

Tyreek Hill showed why he’s still got it against the Rams
What’s your perspective on:
Is Tyreek Hill's wrist injury a real concern, or just another chapter in his ongoing drama?
Have an interesting take?
Read it as a script of a superhero film: questionable ahead of the game, Tyreek Hill suited up on Monday and showed everyone why he’s still got it. The Dawg in him pushed him to play with a torn wrist ligament. And boy, he lit up the gridiron. Cheetah didn’t just hold his own; he snagged a touchdown pass from Tua Tagaovailoa (another man playing with some serious guts), ending his longest scoreless streak. And, as if that wasn’t enough to quiet the doubters, he played through 87% of the offensive snaps.
So, now, you see why coach Wes Welker isn’t worried about Hill’s wrist? Sure, Hill may be banged up, but his big-play potential? Yeah, that’s still very much in the mix.

However, it wasn’t just Hill’s night. Miami’s D stepped up big time, forcing two turnovers and holding the Rams to field goals all night. Rookie Malik Washington also joined the scoring, rushing for his first NFL touchdown on the opening possession. As Calais Campbell put it, “When we’re playing our best ball, we can still beat anybody.”
So, can this gritty win spark a turnaround for Miami? If Hill and Tua keep connecting, and the defense keeps making stops, the Dolphins might just find their rhythm. I mean, that’s the recipe for a W for each franchise, right? But at 3-6, you’ve got to go back to the basics to make a charge for the playoffs.
