The Eagles’ QB Jalen Hurts is doing his best to play against the Bucs in the wildcard round amidst an injured finger. Hurts dislodged his middle finger in the humiliating Week 18 loss, 27-10, against the Giants. The defender’s hand smashed right into the middle finger and completely dislodged it. The QB returned to play in the second half and completed the game. His participation status during practice is under the radar as the Bucs game gets closer.
The questions arise on what Jalen Hurts had to say about his recovery and how he is feeling. Hurts answered the lingering queries surrounding his injury in a recent press conference.

A reporter asked Hurts about how he was coping with the injury and simultaneously looking forward to playing the wildcard round. He asked Hurts: “What you’re trying to play through, is it more a pain management thing, or is it literally swelling, and you just don’t know if you can grip it?”
Hurts thought a little before answering, “It’s just a matter of me doing what I need to be able to do.” About joining the practice session, he shed light on his participation, “Got to go out there and practice to see if that um, what the reality is.” Hurts’ reasoning is justified, but his status as limited participation during Thursday’s practice session is not helping the Eagle’s cause.

The Bucs will not show any respite to the deflated Eagles
The Monday night thriller will pit the NFC South leaders, the Bucs, against the NFC East second seed, the Eagles. The Bucs have found their form and rhythm back at the right time. The Bucs have won five out of the last six games, and in the last game against the Panthers, the team won 9-0 with complete domination. The Eagles started their season flyingly, winning 10 out of 11 first games. But last year’s Super Bowl contenders just crashed down at the end of the season.

The Eagles have just won one game out of the last six, and the embarrassing loss against the Giants has raised doubts about the team’s capabilities. The Giants went 24-0 in the first half as the Eagles fanbase was baffled. Jalen Hurts’ injury is not raising any confidence, either. On top of that, WR AJ Brown did not participate in the practice session. The WR injured his knee before Hurts snapped his finger. The list of problems is growing, and the Eagles need Hurts to be in his best shape in the showdown.
