In one interview with Yahoo, Mahomes revealed that he had kept a chef to prepare his daily food. He also acknowledged his wife, Brittany, who has been helping him with her knowledge of nutrition and fitness. Talking with Kansas Chiefs TV, Mahomes has also revealed the food choices and DOs and DON’Ts of his diet.

For the DOs, Mahomes has said that he likes to have fruits at any given time of the day. Especially strawberries, oranges, and apples. He also likes to spread out the larger meals to prevent overheating. On the DON’T side, the QB has said no to snacks and sweets, such as candies and desserts. He also avoids fast food. Other than that, the one food that must be kept off his menu is nuts. Mahomes is allergic to nuts, and he has undergone tests to find out similar items that are not helpful to his body.

Most importantly, he is a foodie and likes to change tastes often. But that must be kept within the limit, so the QB has kept one cheat day to keep a perfect balance between taste and health. Mahomes is also a mad fan of ketchup, and according to him, he can have it at any time. Even with a steak. He insists he can forever keep consuming ketchup as long as it doesn’t mess with his health and physique.

Talking about his recovery, Mahomes is also a big fan of sleep, which is evident in his 10 hours of sleep cycle every day. And he doesn’t let that ruin her timings either, as the QB naturally wakes up at 7 am, in his words. For tonight, however, his sleep depends on the big Eagles game that happens within a few hours. With a win, they are mostly cleared for their next Super Bowl run.
