Travis Kelce, who plays Tight End for the Kansas City Chiefs, downright said that he neither does back squats or bench press as part of his gym routine. He said that it does not provide any benefit to his football skills. His elder brother, however, made the audience’s jaws drop open with his stats. He claimed that he performs dumbbell presses with 150 lbs and squats with 545 lbs.
Travis’ comments regarding the inefficacy of the bench press came as a surprise to fans since the humble bench press is an essential part of the NFL Combine, where aspirants endeavor to record their best stats to improve their chances of being drafted. In the NFL Combine, athletes have to lift 225 pounds as many times as they can. The current record of 40 repetitions is jointly held by just 20 players, which proves the mammoth task that it is.
The two brothers also discussed their upcoming week.

The 10-3 Eagles are up against the 6-7 Seattle Seahawks on Monday Night Football. The Chiefs, on the other hand, will take on the 3-10 New England Patriots on Sunday Night Football. Coming off two hard battles, it seems that both teams will have it a little easy in the coming week. Especially, if Travis continues to perform at the high level that he did on Sunday.
Jason expressed his admiration for Kelce’s lateral pass to Kadarius Toney, who ran the ball for a touchdown which was eventually negated by the referees due to an offside call. He had also made the lateral pass in a game against the Denver Broncos and fans are calling for more such innovative plays on the gridiron.
