Ever since joining the Bucs, Evans has been unstoppable. And the 4X Pro Bowler has the numbers to back that as well. Currently, in his 10th pro season, the WR has put up 11,502 receiving yards and has 92 career TDs as well. This has been done on the back of every season since he started. Every season of his has been a 1000+ yards season. And in the process, he has shattered some records as well.

Evans is the proud owner of being the greatest TD scorer in the Bucs’ history. He achieved that record by scoring his 72nd career TD, taking away Mike Alstott’s record which stood for almost 2 decades. Evans also took away Chris Godwin’s most receiving yards record as well.

In 2021, the Super Bowl Winner became the first player in NFL history to have 1000+ yards to start his career for 8 continuous seasons. But there is one more record that Evans is chasing and if he gets that, there is no doubt that he will be a Hall of Famer.

Jerry Rice is the gold standard for any receiver in the NFL. From 1986 to 1997 for consecutive 11 seasons, Rice recorded 1000+ receiving yards. And now that Evans is on his 10th, with only one more to go, Evans has Rice on his mind.

“I think about it. It’s right there, so I’m gonna definitely try to go get that. I hope I can pass the great Jerry Rice and his record”, Evans said before the beginning of this season. And with Jerry Rice already in the Hall of Fame, getting closer to his record or tying with him would surely put Evans in there as well.
