Halfway through the regular season, it seems like the franchises are looking to make some hard decisions moving forward. One of those teams is the Chicago Bears, who now find themselves at the bottom of their division. With the team coming off an embarrassing 29-9 defeat to the Cardinals on Sunday, Bears WR DJ Moore has made a shocking revelation about their coach, Matt Eberflus.
When asked whether things are falling apart in the Bears locker room, Moore gave an astonishing reply, “I want to say no. The message yesterday was that we know we’re 4-4 now. It’s just like being 0-0. But, you just got to go out there and start stacking wins like we did, and that’s the best thing we can do. Win, and let the chips fall how they fall after we do so.” Although Moore may have emphasized winning games instead of contemplating whether Eberflus has lost his team.

Not a ringing endorsement.

Bears’ problems under Eberflus are there for everyone to see. This was their 18th loss out of the 21 they have played on the road with Eberflus at the helm. And eight of those losses have come with at least a margin of 10 points. Giving up 213 rushing yards to the Cardinals, their defense got flipped aside in Arizona. Well, this was the first time since last season’s week 11 that the Bears have conceded more than 21 points. This led to their LB T.J. Edwards calling their performance not good enough, “This wasn’t good enough. From top to bottom. We know that. That’s not us.”
Even their safety, Kevin Byard, spoke about the beating they took on Sunday, “Obviously we didn’t play well. And they whooped us today.” On the day when the Bears didn’t score a single TD, Moore was asked whether they are considering changing offensive play-callers, “I don’t think that will happen. We just got to go back to the drawing board and start putting people in different positions to be able to move the ball and stay on the same page and stick together.”
But are the fans looking to stick behind Matt Eberflus after his decisions on Sunday?

Fans call for Matt Eberflus to be sacked after Sunday’s defeat
What’s your perspective on:
Is Matt Eberflus losing control of the Bears, or is DJ Moore just stirring the pot?
Have an interesting take?
It was late into the fourth quarter when the result of Sunday’s clash had already been decided that fans started to turn on their head coach. Seeing their No.1 overall pick, Caleb Williams, limping off the field, the fans questioned Eberflus’ decisions, “Getting your rookie QB hurt on a pointless drive is coaching malpractice. Matt Eberflus continues to prove he has no business as an NFL head coach. Bears get blown out 29-9.” Well, those reactions didn’t stop there. As another pointed out, Eberflus repeated mistakes as head coach, “A lot of things that eventually get coaches fired are happening with the Bears.”
Looking at those reactions, Eberflus could be on borrowed time in Chicago. With fans calling him out for leaving their rookie QB on the pitch, Williams decided to share his thoughts after the game. “You fight to end of the game. If you’re in the game. If not, the coach makes a decision like that. You have to deal with it and figure out the next steps.” This defeat in Arizona just piles more misery on the Bears as they were coming off a last-second Hail Mary loss to the Commanders.
