‘Disappointed’ David Tepper Throws His Beverage Away as Panthers Crumble for the 14th Time

This is the worst loss that the Carolina Panthers have faced this season. The 26-0 loss against the Jacksonville Jaguars came as a last straw for the owner of the Panthers, David Tepper. You know the man is upset when he decides to throw his drink at the opposing team’s fans. The video from MLFootball shows what went down in the TIAA Bank Field.

This marks the 14 loss that the Panthers have faced this season and, of course, Tepper is frustrated. But throwing a beverage isn’t exactly an image that a team owner might want to portray to the masses. Somebody’s job might be on the line after this game because the owner might decide to fire them. After all, Tepper has fired three different coaches in his five-year tenure as the owner.

David Tepper has had enough of it

A video of the Panthers’ owner is going viral on X. The video from MLFootball shows him throwing his drink at a Jaguars fan following the frustrating loss. He throws the drink at the fan, throws away his cup, and walks off in anger. This may be highly unbecoming of the team owner, and he might have to dish out a public apology for doing this, but who knows?

The video is captioned, “THIS IS F****** CRAZY: #Panthers owner David Tepper reportedly THREW HIS DRINK at #Jaguars fans sitting in front of him.” The video is going viral because Ari Meirov tweeted the same video saying, “Not great: #Panthers owner David Tepper appears to have spilled his drink on a #Jaguars fan during today’s frustrating 26-0 loss.”

This is the Panthers’ highlight of the game because they failed to put a single point on the map whatsoever. The Jags’ position in the playoffs came at the expense of the Panthers’ humiliation, from the owner to the players. Some other details surfaced on the internet after this humiliating loss.

Did the Panthers lose due to a series of bad decisions by the owner?

Warren Sharp, the Sports Grid analyst, pointed out something that raises some questions about the Panthers’ personnel. David Tepper has fired 3 coaches that he handpicked in his 5-year tenure. Sharp highlighted some major blunders from the Panthers’ owner. Per the analyst, Tepper had the chance of securing a 1 draft pick next year, considering how the Panthers have been the worst team this season.

However, he decided to forfeit his chances to snag Lamar Jackson after giving up two first-draft picks and the WR DJ Moore in exchange for the QB Bryce Young. His behavior is not only bringing bad PR to the team but will also cast doubt in the minds of potential next year’s drafts.

So far, the owner hasn’t issued an apology statement, and the situation became more exacerbated when Brian McCarthy, NFLs VP at communication, admitted to the media, “We are aware of the video and have no further comment at this time,”. A tweet from MLFootball gave more insight into the situation.
