The Buffalo Bills were crushed by the Broncos as Russell Wilson‘s squad stamped a memorable 24-22 victory at the Highmark Stadium. While Wilson matched up the ferocity of Josh Allen throughout the whole game as both QBs secured two passing TDs, Will Lutz emerged as the stunner in the last few seconds. The team’s Placekicker secured a 36-yard field goal as time expired. But there’s a catch. The last-moment stunt has now been replaced by controversy and the Bills fans are blaming the Denver Broncos for using ‘Spider Tack’.

‘Spider Tack’ is an adhesive, just like glue or Stickum, but more powerful. Designed for powerlifters, there are claims that the Broncos were using it for a better grip on the ball. Shockingly, a close-up image of Broncos’ punter Riley Dixon shows the brown substance on his right hand that looks like Stickum.

Did the Buffalo Bills fall to mishaps or misbehavior?

This was another disappointing loss for the New York team. Facing the Broncos who have been struggling all season long, this game should have been a win for the Bills. But the game slipped away from the Bills in the last quarter. Now there are claims that it could’ve been ‘Spider Tack’ that helped the Broncos. Twitter is buzzing with allegations that Riley Dixon used Spider Tack to hold the ball for Lutz’s kick that led to a 24-22 victory. NFL rules, of course, do not allow players to use adhesives on their bodies to help grip the ball.

This is not the first time an adhesive has been used in the NFL for the better catching of the ball. Former Las Vegas Raiders cornerback, Lester Hayes, was notoriously known for using Stickum before it was outlawed by the league. But that didn’t stop players!

Further, in 2015, Hall of Famer Jerry Rice confessed to using the adhesive after it was banned. The WR for the Seattle Seahawks told ESPN, “All players did it”. Though it has been many years since claims like these have come up, now that they are here, the fans want to be heard.

What is the take of Bills fans on the controversy?

The Broncos-Bills game was an absolute stunner, but this Spider Tack controversy has somewhere replaced the celebration. If you may have noticed, even earlier in the game, Dixon mishandled a snap, leading to a failed extra-point attempt. However, a close-up image pointed out the fact that Dixon’s holding was all about cheating. Twitter has been buzzing over this even though Stickum has been banned, and some fans continue to wonder about the legality of ‘Spider Tack’.

With the frenzy going viral, many Bills fans wanted the world to know about it. However, some social media users also speculated it could have been a turf burn. But it didn’t end there. There were different perspectives coming in.

Mike Klis, who covers the Broncos for ‘9NEWS’ shared that it was a raw skin scab.

However, some fans called out the brittle nature of the Bills fans.

Amidst the controversy, one Bills fan questioned the coaching and the desire to win from the team.

Not all Bills fans were looking to justify their team’s loss.
