With a season full of injury issues, seems like the Philadelphia Eagles finally getting a much-needed boost ahead of their clash against the Carolina Panthers. Although, with the decisive win in the last game, the Eagles sit pretty strong at 10-2. And fans can breathe easily as DeVonta Smith as well as Darius Slay and Johnny Wilson are all back on the field for a practice session on Wednesday.

While there isn’t a confirmation from Slay and Wilson, the 26-year-old WR has a 3-word message for the Eagles’ fanbase. “Count me in,” clarified Smith on asking for his status for the week 14 game. The star WR missed out last two games against the Ravens and the Los Angeles Rams due to a hamstring injury.

Talking about a dual threat, Smith has a solid performance this season so far, having played nine games. While carrying the ball for 516 yards, he racked 4 receiving touchdowns and 41 receptions. As he makes a comeback from his injury, it will provide the Eagles an upper hand against the struggling Panthers.

On the flip side, after battling a concussion, Slay may also join the comeback party with Smith along with Wilson, who was sidelined due to a hamstring injury. Both the cornerback and the wide receiver may ensure a big impact on the game as the Eagles are eyeing a playoff berth.

Despite strong results so far; thanks to the notable rushing performance, the Eagles have struggled with their passing game. As the playoffs are around the corner, the Eagles must be craving a solid comeback from Smith.

Well, the good news is that Smith is out on the field for a practice session, however, the Eagles’ locker room is still pretty much tensed. Apart from Slay and Wilson, key players were out from the practice field. Tight end Dallas Goedert suffered a knee injury last week against the Ravens and is unlikely to return for the next game.

On top of that, Reed Blankenship is another add on to the injury list from the last game. The 25-year-old safety has suffered a concussion after colliding with teammate Cooper DeJean. The concussion has resulted in Blankenship getting ruled out for subsequent games, including the Eagles’ next face-off vs Panthers.

However, after sidelined in the beginning of the week, wide receiver Britain Covey has returned to the field on Thursday’s practice session following a neck injury. Of course, the Eagles are having their shares of injury setbacks, the comeback of DeVonta Smith along with the others will give a major boost to the high flying Eagles.
