Nobody deserves to be more elated than Jared Goff and the Detroit Lions right now. The Lions finally have a shot at the Super Bowl for the first time in more than three decades. Baker Mayfield’s two interceptions ended up being the bane for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Now, the Lions are headed to compete with the San Francisco 49ers next week.
In the wake of this game, the Lions QB appeared in the presser and spoke about his in-game experience. The reporter asked Goff about his plan going forward. It will be a long time since Jared Goff has visited the West Coast and the reporter wanted to know how he is planning to tackle the upcoming game.

In a sense, California is like home to Jared Goff. He mentioned how he has loved ones there and how it would be nice for him to play in the Levi’s Stadium. He also expressed how joyful it would be to play again in San Francisco city.
“Yeah it’s nice to go back there in front of my friends and family and front of a lot of my loved ones and playing in a place I played a bunch of times and I know these teams really really good. So it’s going to be a challenge but yeah It’ll be fun for me personally to go back there,” said Goff when asked about the game in California.
Jared Goff now leads the NFL quarterbacks as he is ranked second per ESPN and this game had a lot to do with it. Goff threw two touchdowns and secured a win for his side despite Baker Mayfield looking better on paper in all regards.

The game was tied till the third quarter with 17-all. Come 4 quarter, Jahmyr Gibbs decided to give the Bucs a run for their money with his 31-yard TD, making the score 23-17. This was when it was 13:13 remaining on the clock. Jared Goff added to the scoreboard with his 9-yard TD pass to Amon-Ra St. Brown with about 6 minutes left on the clock.
Though Mayfield threw a pass to Mike Evans and got a TD to neutralize the score, the last interception from the LB Derrick Barnes with the clock just short of 2 minutes made matters turn fully in favor of the Lions. Goff’s second TD in the last quarter had him come out with 287 passing yards, 69.8% of completed passes, and a passer rating of 103.5.
