Dov Kleinman, an NFL Insider, took to X to share the names of two players who were “snubbed” and did not make it to the Pro Bowl: Buffalo Bills’ QB Josh Allen and Philadelphia Eagles’ QB Jalen Hurts. Patrick Mahomes, the 2x Super Bowl winner and the Kansas City Chiefs QB, has made it to the Pro Bowl. Even though his passing yards per game is 15 more than Allen’s, both players have 27 passing touchdowns each. The Bills QB’s yards per completion and yards per attempt are slightly higher.

He has also set the league record, along with Hurts, for the number of rushing touchdowns by a quarterback at 15. Mahomes, on the other hand, has nil. Allen has 42 total touchdowns this season under his belt and this is 4 more than Hurts and a whopping 15 more than the 2x Super Bowl MVP winner!

It hasn’t even been a month since Hurts was hailed as the favorite to win the NFL MVP Award. And look where he’s fallen now. The Eagles’ offensive woes aside, he has been deemed unworthy to even play in the Pro Bowl by the league. But his numbers make a strong case for why he should.

In 2023, he is the runner-up among quarterbacks for the most number of touchdowns. He has already set a franchise record at 38. In the 16 games that have been played so far in the season, the 25-year-old registered an 11-5 record for Philly. He has also successfully completed 345 out of 522 passes, and recorded 3,803 passing yards. He is also tied with Allen for the most number of running TDs this season by a QB.
