Tim Boyle got his first full game of this season against the Miami Dolphins, replacing Zach Wilson. However, the change in the QB’s position did not really benefit the New York Jets‘ side much against the Phins. The Jets faced a staggering defeat by  13-34 after the ‘planned’ Hail Mary pass ended with a return touchdown.

Robert Saleh’s team has already been struggling with their offense. This time again the sheer lack of accuracy from the offensive side led to the unimpressive final score from the team.  The Jets have their upcoming matchup next month against the Atlanta Falcons. While the O-line will have the expectations of doing better lurking in their heads, the HC recently remarked about “no consideration” of major changes happening.

Robert Saleh is not gonna change play callers?

In a recent post-game press conference, Robert Saleh was asked whether he would be changing the dwindling offensive line of the team just like he changed the quarterback bringing Tim Boyle to replace Zach Wilson. Further, the question also enquired about his upcoming decision regarding the play callers.

Saleh clearly dismissed the notion of others trying their luck in the games. The 44-year-old stated, “We gotta keep playing, we gotta keep preparing, we gotta keep coaching….We just keep trying to find the ways to move the ball.” Saleh also mentioned that “there is no consideration” in changing the quarterbacks or playcallers for the team in the upcoming games.

Meanwhile, it’s important to note that during the Dolphins’ game, Saleh’s one way of moving the ball, which was a Hail Mary, turned out to be a complete disaster. Saleh said he suggested for Boyle to launch a Hail Mary attempt from the Jets’ 49-yard-line. But unfortunately, Dolphins cornerback Jevon Holland intercepted the pass just before the endzone and returned it for a 99-yard pick-six making it to the touchdown in the second quarter.

After this incident, it’s somewhat clear among fans that the Jets’ offense needs to work on their potential overall. Yet, still, it seems the coach isn’t in the mood to make changes to his offensive line, and he is not thinking about giving a chance to QB Trevor Siemian at the moment. The situation raises the question though, what are the concerns the Offense of the New York team seems to be facing?

The Jets’ offense blocking their wins!

Within two months, the Jets went from dealing with a ruptured tendon to facing a struggling offense. The offensive line faced problems this year due to injuries, and since then they have been shuffling their O-Line, bringing the backups who are now unable to protect their quarterback.

Recently, Mekhi Becton got injured too, making the situation even harder for them. The New York side has used different starting offensive lines in every game, even bringing some new players like Carter Warren and Chris Glaser into the active roster. Yet, no improvement seems consistently visible from their side.

In the beginning, the Jets brought eight offensive linemen, but now they have used 13 different players due to injuries. At present, the team has four backup linemen, and interestingly, the two are backups to backups. This depicted that the Jets do not have enough backup players to fill in the replacement of the injured ones.

After observing the past few games, spectators believe that the team is having difficulty in running the ball, despite having running backs like Breece Hall. Now after the recent presser of Robert Saleh, it feels like there isn’t much hope for better offensive days for the Jets. What do you think of the situation? Let us know below.
