Aaron Rodgers still believes in the Jets—are fans too quick to lose faith after one loss?

The Monday Night Jets vs 49ers game resulted in a win for the San Francisco 49ers. Since then, the big man Aaron Rodgers‘ capabilities and performance have been questioned. Yet whatsoever the questions be the veteran QB’s image is not affected even by a bit. He remains a legend, the 4 time MVP, Aaron Rodgers.

Rodgers joined The Pat McAfee Show to share his thoughts after the Jets’ tough loss against the 49ers. The podcast, known for its candid and engaging discussions, became the perfect platform for A-Rod to address the frustrations surrounding the game. Alongside McAfee, Rodgers shared a few insights while addressing the concerns of some loyal Jets fans, including WWE’s legendary commentator Michael Cole.

Rodgers didn’t sugarcoat the difficulty of facing a team like the 49ers, admitting it was a “tough place to play.” However, the seasoned quarterback also had a firm message for fans ready to jump ship after the loss. “It’s a 17-game season for a reason,” he emphasized. Fans should stay patient and trust that the Jets would find their rhythm, whether it’s next week or later in the season. Rodgers made it clear, saying, “If you want to jump off now, jump off, but don’t come back.”

The warning hit especially close to home for WWE’s Michael Cole, a massive Jets fan, who shared a text after the game stating, “We’re f***ed again.” Rodgers, in response, tried to reassure his friend and all Jets supporters by reminding them of the talent on the team and that early season struggles were part of the journey. He added, “Michael Cole’s gonna be on the roof!” in reference to Cole’s passionate reaction.

The ultimate Rodgers’ message? Stay loyal or stay out – the season’s just begun. Regarding the Jets game previously, Rodgers’ performance was good but yet not enough to pull his team through. The Golden City’s team eventually over powered them.

The San Francisco 49ers handed the Green Gang a tough 32-19 loss, spoiling their legend QB’s much-anticipated comeback. Despite missing star running back Christian McCaffrey, the 49ers didn’t miss a beat, thanks to back up Jordan Mason, who had a career-high 147 yards on 28 carries. Brock Purdy was efficient with 231 passing yards, while Deebo Samuel added 77 yards and a touchdown. Not throughout, but still we have to say, San Francisco dominated, scoring on eight straight possessions, while the Jets struggled to keep up offensively.

As for Aaron Rodgers, the good news is that he came out of the game healthy. However, his performance was far from stellar. He threw for just 167 yards with one touchdown and one interception before being subbed out in the fourth quarter. The Jets’ offense struggled to find rhythm, and turnovers didn’t help their case. One bright spot for A-Rod was a touchdown pass to Allen Lazard, but the Jets’ offense wasn’t consistently able to threaten the 49ers’ defense.

The 40-year-old has a complicated history with the 49ers, having faced them 13 times in his career. While he’s had success in the regular season, winning 6 of 9 matchups, the playoffs have been a different story. The Super Bowl winner holds an 0-4 postseason record against the Niners, suffering notable losses in games like the 2012 Divisional Round and the 2021 Divisional Round, which ended in a painful 13-10 defeat. Despite his struggles, the Jets are hopeful that Rodgers will find his stride as the season progresses.
