QB Patrick Mahomes has taken the Chiefs to the playoffs once again, but he needs to be a little careful heading into the Wild card round. The team won 25-17 against the deflated Bengals in a comeback performance. The Chiefs were struggling in the first half, but the team completely owned the second half 12-0. Rightly so, the team has secured the wild card entry a second time in two years.
Since Mahomes joined the Chiefs’ rank, he has always taken his team to the playoffs. The keyman has won the team two Super Bowls in just a gap of three years. He has an astonishing record in the playoffs. The QB has won 11 times in the playoffs and has lost just three. As the Chiefs made the playoffs again, this record will bolster their hopes further. Still, things are not all too well for the superstar QB.

The Chiefs have made it to the wild cards round for the second time under Patrick Mahomes. Two years ago, the team made the Wild card round after winning 12 games. In a one-sided game, the Chiefs thrashed the Steelers 42 -21 and went against the Bills in the Divisional playoffs. The Bills gave a complete fight but lost 42-36. The Chiefs then locked horns with the Bengals to grab the AFC.
In a nail-biter, the Chiefs lost the game 24-27 and thus lost the AFC title a second time under Patrick Mahomes. This time too we are seeing a repeat of Mahomes and the Co. making their way through the wild cards round. Mahomes has never won the conference championship when entering a wild card round. The Chiefs will keep this in mind and prepare better to not repeat the mistakes.

The team has lost six season games, making it their worst performance under the leadership of Patrick Mahomes. Two times MVP and SB winner Mahomes has secured only 27 touchdowns this season. He has also been intercepted 14 times already, making it his career’s lowest performance. The Chiefs are also struggling hard to record consecutive wins.
The embarrassing loss 14-20 against fellow rivals, the Raiders, gave the Chiefs a reality check at the Arrowhead. A struggling performance against the Joe Burrow-less Bengals is not raising any confidence. The Chiefs need to introspect and work on their mistakes as they have one more game to go before the wild card round.
