The Cowboys couldn’t have hoped for a better opponent this week after suffering their second loss of the season last Sunday. Going to New York, the Cowboys may be hopeful of coming back with a positive result, considering their record against the Giants. The last time America’s team lost to the Giants was back in 2016, when Dak Prescott was still a rookie finding his feet in the NFL.
Although it seems like a sublime record, the Cowboys still need to be mindful as records can be broken anytime. After all, they had their 16-game win-streak at home broken after losing to the Saints in week 2. Well, Ex-NFLer Emmanuel Acho on The Facility also offered a stern warning towards the Cowboys before going into the clash, “The Cowboys season is over with a loss tonight.” ‘Over’ might be the right word, as the Cowboys would like to avoid going 1-3 down with playoff ambitions hanging in the balance.

But seeing Prescott’s record against the Giants, the Cowboys could be hopeful for a win this week. Having won 12 consecutive games against the home team, Prescott has racked up 3,649 yards, 27 touchdowns and 8 interceptions with a passer rating of 100.9. Even going back to last season, the Cowboys played the G-Men out of the park as they recorded a seismic 40-0 victory in New York. And they weren’t finished as Dallas defeated the Giants 49-17, with Prescott getting four TDs with 404 passing yards.

Considering their dominant performance over the years, the Cowboys may have the edge to come away with a victory in New York. But this week’s clash isn’t going to be any easier as the Giants snapped their losing streak in Cleveland, having recorded a stunning 21-15 victory. However, the biggest question is whether Prescott will manage to lead the Cowboys to a win, considering the gaps they have on the roster.
Dak Prescott set to lead a disjointed Cowboys team in New York
As pointed out by RJ Ochoa on the NFL End Zone show, “This Cowboys season, with a week left to go in September, feels more d— on arrival at this point of the season than any in recent history.” Well, Ochoa, who is the editor-in-chief of Blogging The Boys, might not be wrong with his assumption about the Cowboys game this week.

What’s your perspective on:
Can Dak Prescott maintain his perfect record against the Giants, or is a slip-up inevitable?
Have an interesting take?
With Dallas going to MetLife Stadium, they are already 1-2 down after losing consecutive games at home. Their win in Cleveland at week 1 looks like a distant memory, considering the problems they possess. Shedding some light on those problems, NFL End Zone show host Will Gavin added, “They’ve invested all this money in this top-end talent and look completely devoid of anything beyond it. The Mike Zimmer defense is horrible right now. I just think coaching defense, supporting cast, all of it.”
Well, Gavin is nowhere to be contradicted, as the Cowboys’ defense ranks 28th in the league, having allowed 372.7 average yardages going to New York. But Prescott’s record of passing yards at 851 still tops the NFL, with Giants QB Daniel Jones struggling way behind. He is 25th with a pass completion percentage of 59.6 while boasting a record of 0-6 against Prescott. Therefore, it remains to be seen whether Dak will manage to bring his A-game to New York to snap their losing streak. Or will the Giants test prove to be a tougher challenge than others are expecting?
