Micah Parsons may be a top-edge rusher, but his strength might be underwhelming in certain combat sports. One of those sports seems to be wrestling—sumo wrestling, to be exact. He is a beast on the field, but in the dojo, he surely needs to work a bit more.
But calling him bad at wrestling might be hyperbole because he did prove himself later. His initial failure was enough for CJ Stroud to mock him in a friendly manner. Stroud and Parsons have been hanging out with each other throughout the off-season, and the duo just keeps getting better over time.

This time, though, things were different because the duo went to Tokyo and took on some sumo wrestling. MLFootball just shared a snippet of their time in Japan and captioned it, “MICAH PARSONS GETTING DOMINATED BY A SUMO WRESTLER.” The video shows Micah Parsons locking horns with a Sumo wrestler.

The wrestler managed to push the Cowboys’ edge rusher out of bounds, and CJ Stroud jumped in to make fun of him as soon as he got eliminated. Parsons might have finished his season with 14 sacks, but in the dojo, he couldn’t sack the wrestler, and Stroud stood there as an embarrassing reminder of his failure.
The Texans QB and the wrestler berated Parsons by impersonating rocking a baby in their arms after the “too small” celebration. But before the duo came to Japan, they spent some time in Beijing and Shanghai and this trip was sponsored by Gridiron Imports.
In the video, Parsons mentioned that he needs to work on his legs. That statement should be taken seriously if the Cowboys LB wants to have another 13+ sack season this year, something he’s done since his NFL debut season.
But this isn’t the first time that the Cowboys’ LB has tried his hands on wrestling.

The Cowboys rusher and Wrestling are old pals!
Last year when the Dallas Cowboys were eliminated from the playoffs, their LB went to watch a wrestling match between Penn State and Iowa, pegged to be some of the best wrestling programs in the country. After Penn State won the match, Parsons was quick to congratulate Roman Bravo Young, the Penn State star.

But that’s not all. The LB is also interested in trying his hands on wrestling. Last year, he tweeted out, “Where is a great wrestling room in austin Texas?!” The question was enough for the fans to start suggesting places to go and wrestle. Now that we know Parsons’ interest in wrestling, his edge rushing skills start to make more and more sense.
