Sean Payton’s disagreement on Wilson’s status is now in the open. Payton has made it public that backup QB Jarret Stidham will start for the Broncos in their last two games. This will be the most significant embarrassment of Wilson’s career, and the decision will make the free agents keep their distance from the Broncos now. Craig Carton gave his insights on the concerns in the latest edition of the “Carton Show.”

MLFootball shared the update on X, “Damn…. Free agents will not want to come to the Broncos because the way Sean Payton has humiliated (Russell Wilson), says Craig Carton.” Carton further highlighted, “Payton disliked Russell Wilson on a level I’ve never seen before.” He pointed toward Payton’s outburst against Wilson in the Charger’s game. He gave his insights on benching him for the last two games, “Not only is he embarrassing him by benching him for the last two games, he’s making him dress. For Sean Payton to humiliate him in this manner is wrong.” What the future for Wilson will be is anybody’s guess.
