After making their way into the 2023 playoffs last year, the Dallas Cowboys faced a devastating loss on their home turf against the Packers. While everything seemed to be going great for the NFC East champions, the loss ended up being a surprising twist in the tale. Now, with the new season set to begin in a few short months, a radio personality has predicted what it will look like for the beloved team.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), a clip from The Carton Show made its way online. The video showed the host, Craig Carton predicting the upcoming season for the Cowboys. He stated, “They’ll be lucky to win 10 games, I’m not sure they’re even going to do that.” After all, Dallas had only won 12 games last season and has been on somewhat of a streak of low win-loss stats.

Carton continued, “I think it’s going to be a horrendous year for the Dallas Cowboys.” The 55-year-old elaborated on what he meant by saying that even though the team seemed to have better odds this year, “they cannot win the division.” Instead, the host seemed to put his money on the Philadelphia Eagles having the win “locked up.”

After all, the team had only recently been named as one of the most improved teams from the last season. However, with the off-season coming to an end, fans will have to see whether Carton’s predictions come true or not.

A Cowboys vs Eagles NFC East rematch

After last year’s NFC East final between the Cowboys and the Eagles, which ended in a 33-13 win for Dallas, both teams will have a chance to test out their skills once again. According to the match-up schedule that came out a few weeks ago, the awaited game has been set for November 10th, 2024.

With only 5 months left before the Cowboys and the Eagles make their way onto the field, anticipation for what could happen has been through the roof. However, so far, it looks like Philadelphia might have the upper hand. After all, their offseason lineup has proven to be an improvement with the addition of a new guard, Trevor Keegan, WR Johnny Wilson, and more.

However, the Cowboys’ time off has not amounted to much this season. In fact, apart from adding linebacker Eric Kendricks to their roster, the team saw many players go up for free agency, like Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, and Micah Parsons. With the future of some of the team’s best players being rather uncertain, it looks like the Eagles may prove to be the victors.

Although there is a chance that the Cowboys could prove everyone wrong and wind up being the NFC East champions again. However, with head coach, Mike McCarthy, and the team seemingly taking things rather easy, it might not play out the way Dallas and their fans might have hoped.
