This season for the Denver Broncos hasn’t been an ideal one. Currently, the team is positioned on the board with only 2 wins and 5 defeats on their plate. However, their last game against the Green Bay Packers did witness strong competition from the Broncos as they clinched a win. And even though, the team had a slow start when Peyton Manning left, this season might mark to be the slowest for them.

It’s questionable if the team will be active before the trade deadline. As the team is at the bottom of the division, they might be the sellers this season. They also made a few announcements regarding their players’ trade deals. However, the stakes are pretty high at this point as their decisions right now can make or break their season.

With the NFL trade deadline rapidly approaching (31 October), the Broncos are definitely making headlines with their clear stance on potential trades. According to numerous sources, the Broncos have set their asking prices for three of their star players. The first and second one are wide receivers Jerry Jeudy and Courtland Sutton, and the third one, is cornerback, Patrick Surtain.

The price for Jeudy, who is a standout in the Broncos’ receiving corps, has been set at a 1st round pick. This also reflects his significant value to the team that will get to welcome him. The second player, Sutton, who is a key player in Denver’s offensive lineup, could be on the move for a 2nd round pick. The Broncos are playing smart this time and they have placed an even higher value on Surtain.

The SI even said, “And the price on Surtain, I believe, would be more than what the Jaguars got for Jalen Ramsey in 2019.” These steep prices point towards the Broncos’ intention to secure substantial returns. The NFL analyst Peter King shared his thoughts on the team and the Russell Wilson trade.

Wilson’s trade could cost the general manager his job

The quarterback Russell Wilson is still far away from the player the Broncos thought they were trading to kick off their season in 2022. Their trade for Wilson was too expensive for the team; so much so that it could cost their general manager his job, per Peter King.

King shared his views on this on Pro Football Talk. He said, “Show me something, Russell Wilson. I know the Chiefs have beaten the Broncos 16,000 times in a row, and I know that there’s nobody out there who really expects the Denver Broncos to win this game, even if it’s in the Mile High City.”
