The NFL world is rife with speculation! Russell Wilson planning to jump ship to the Raiders? His time with the Broncos was short and unpleasant. The Super Bowl champ was brought in to take the squad to its former glory days. However, what happened was a downer. Two seasons of 5-12 and 8-9 records. But just as it looked like maybe he was getting better with time, something unexpected happened. The team decided to bench him.
And then in late December, rumors surfaced that he might be cut from Denver. After weeks of throwing about names as to his next destination, finally, there seems to be an answer.

Something’s going to happen that hasn’t happened in more than a decade. The 35-year-old could become a free agent! No, we’re not merely speculating on this. There’s reason to believe that he actually might. Orange and Blue Today revealed that Jeremy Fowler brought it to light.
What exactly did Fowler say? An anonymous NFC executive told him that Wilson might sign with the Raiders. The host quipped that the so-called “anonymous” exec could be John Schneider. Who? Former general manager of the Seattle Seahawks. Anyway, there are three solid reasons why that might actually happen.
Ciara and revenge the reason behind Raiders’ decision?
Wilson’s move to the Raiders would be killing three birds with one stone. For one thing, that would place them in Party City. And Ciara can do a Las Vegas residency as a live performer there. Plus, the two own a huge, comfortable home in San Diego, California. And it’s pretty close to Las Vegas. Definitely much closer than Denver, Colorado.

Raiders and Broncos are both AFC West teams. That means they’ll get to play two games against each other every season. One home and one away. And if there’s one person that Wilson could point a finger at for his benching humiliation, it would be HC Sean Payton. Now, if he lands in Las Vegas, he could finally get his revenge. Every time the Raiders under him beat the Broncos, it will be a hit back at Payton.

Then there’s one final less-sinister reason. Raiders were actually on Wilson’s wish list when he was considering a move from the Seahawks. He eventually settled on Denver though. But now, he could fulfill that dream. These rumors should be taken with a grain of salt though, as the host said, “We’re just connecting dots, but these are dots that make sense for the Raiders and honestly for Russell Wilson.”
