There is a report circulating that if Sean Payton gets the opportunity to trade Russell Wilson now, he will do so at the earliest. In his first season with the Broncos, coach Payton is off to a miserable start with 2-5 in the season so far. Hence, they started their youth movement in which they traded for young players to give them a fair chance to prove their worth.

Meanwhile, Payton is also planning to trade Wilson according to Jason La Canfora, the general manager of NFL, “He’d [Payton] trade the quarterback right now if there was a market for him.” Although Wilson’s stats this season look strong with 1,499 yards, 13 touchdowns, four picks, and a 66.4 percent passer rating, his performance hasn’t translated into wins for the team.
