One of the best HCs in the league, Andy Reid is an inspiration to many in the NFL community. In fact, the Broncos HC Sean Payton needs to learn some tactics to plan for a bye-week from his counterpart Reid after defeating his team. Fans are not over the biggest turnaround of the season just yet. The Broncos squad registered a convincing victory against the Chiefs 24-9 in the comeback game and also broke the 16-game losing streak simultaneously. The decades-old rivalry, that started back in the ’60s has a lot to witness ahead this season.

While Patrick Mahomes and his team did not perform at their level best, Russell Wilson led his team from the front and secured three touchdowns to seal the victory. Sean Payton is now a happy man as a big win over a great team boosted the morale to a higher level. Now the Broncos get a much-needed bye week as well.

Payton’s plans for the bye-week is inspired by Andy Reid

This season, each and every team will get a bye week when they will not play against any team. The Broncos are given a bye week just like all other teams this season. They will play against the Bills after two weeks. In a recent press conference, Payton was asked by reporters about his plan for the Bye week.

Payton remembered a time when HC Andy Reid was in Philadelphia. He called Reid and asked about what he does in his bye week. Payton tells reporters what Reid said, “Look you know I get them out of here after Monday if they win the game.” Payton then asked him about the coaches, and Reid replied, “I do the same thing.” Sean Payton incorporated this advice, stating in this interview, “So we started doing that in New Orleans and started having some success“.

On how he will spend time with his team, he responded “Guys watch the film of the game, they will have a good break here, everyone will be back on Monday” to join the practice. Well, now you can tell how Sean Payton is reaping the benefits of taking this advice. Reid acknowledged the importance a victory holds and wasn’t shy to let the team rest for a day or two. Well,  the bye week is not going to stay forever, and the players will soon be back to the usual drill.

The Broncos are back, just at the right time

The Broncos have now registered three wins. The loss against the Chiefs two weeks 19-8 was the jolt needed to get the sleeping giant out of bed. After that, the Broncos won the hard-fought battle against the Packers 19-17 and absolutely destroyed the Chiefs this Sunday.

After the bye week, the Broncos will have to face the Bills. The Bills are having a pretty decent season. By defeating the Buccaneers in the last game. They have now won five games and lost just three. Josh Allen and his squad will lock horns with the Bengals this Sunday. The high-stakes game will begin at 2:05 PM MT at Paul Brown Stadium.
