It was a tough game for the Houston Texans against the Baltimore Ravens in the first NFC divisional round. Although the Texans lost their title chances this year, they have surely proved their mettle in a tough season overall. Among the many who are impressed, one is the Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans himself, who is proud of his entire team and the rookie quarterback, C.J. Stroud.
Until the first half, both teams were tied at 10 points each, especially after a historic punt return touchdown by Texans WR Steven Sims. However, later in the second half, the Ravens didn’t give any chance to their rivals, to overcome them. It was a devastating loss for the team, but the Texans head coach has some beautiful messages for the players & coaches in the locker room.
DeMeco Ryans is still proud of his team!

In a post-game press conference, after the defeat by the Ravens, Texans HC DeMeco Ryans was asked about his thoughts on his team. Ryans simply stated a four-word message for the Texans. He said, “This wasn’t our moment right now, this wasn’t our time right now we didn’t get it done, but I am proud of each and every coach and player in the locker room.”
Ryans mentioned whatever they have accomplished throughout the season, including their growth in the entire year, “I am proud of our guys, and that’s why I told all the guys to keep their heads up.” He also mentioned again that he is proud of his team and the quarterback who played really well this season, made it to the playoffs, and gave their best in the league. Furthermore, Ryans concluded with an aim to start all over again and be better next year.
Meanwhile, the Ravens defeated the Texans 34-10 in the divisional round and secured a place to get a step closer to the Super Bowl title.
The Ravens are in the conference championship!
After defeating the Texans, the Ravens have now reached the NFL conference championships. They will be playing against the winner of Sunday’s game between the Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs, next weekend. Meanwhile, the celebration is on for the Ravens in the locker room.

The team’s strong defense didn’t allow the Texans to score any point in the second half. The Ravens’ offense led by Lamar Jackson, took a while to get going but found their rhythm in the third quarter. Jackson gained 152 passing yards, 100 rushing yards and 4 touchdowns in total, elevating on to his road of MVP title.

In the postgame press conference, the Ravens QB mentioned that his team’s defense served as motivation for the offense to score points, crediting their performance in the game night.
