3-7! With that wins and losses record, the Dallas Cowboys sit third in the NFC East of the NFL standings. Hence, owner Jerry Jones is frustrated with the team, and as obvious the looming clouds are on the head coach, Mike McCarthy, who got another chance this year after the last time’s playoff loss.
Now, this year, too, the head coach is in trouble. Fans are demanding his firing as soon as possible, and guess what? The worst part is many have even started looking for another potential candidate for the role as per their wish. And the first name coming up for it is—Deion Sanders.
For instance, former NFL player Michael Irvin wants the marriage of the Cowboys and Deion Sanders. That’s the reason he recently shared a post hinting at this. In his Instagram post, Irvin shared a carousel, wherein in one photo, he is posing with Jerry Jones, while on the other, he is seen with Deion Sanders. Now, here’s what he said via the caption:

“I spent Friday night with Jerry Jones. I spent Saturday with @DeionSanders. I spent Sunday with the lord PRAYING for ???? ????? (GUEST WHAT) Now after what the @dallascowboys looked like on Monday Night Football. (some surprising emojis) Gotta work harder!!!”

Yes! Irvin directly demanded Deion Sanders to take up the Cowboys’ head coach role. But wait! Here’s the catch. After the 58-year-old uploaded this post, Coach Prime himself took some time from his busy college football schedule to comment on Irvin’s demand. And he didn’t reject the rumor. Instead, he went on saying – “Love ya man.” So, does that mean Sanders might land on America’s team next year?
Well, if you ask Michael Irvin, he would say (as he said in Colin Cowherd’s show), “I believe 100%, and I can tell you good sources have told me that, great sources have told me that.” This statement came from him when he was asked about the possibility of Sanders coaching the Cowboys if they drafted his son, Shedeur Sanders, in the next year. So, yes, it’s quite possible that Sanders might get a coaching gig in the league for the Cowboys. But that also means they will have to waive off their injured quarterback, Dak Prescott. Until then, Jerry Jones is waiting.
Jerry Jones is moving with Mike McCarthy for the remainder of the season!

Is Deion Sanders the savior the Cowboys need, or just another flashy name with no substance?
Have an interesting take?
Despite back-to-back poor performances and losses, Jerry Jones is sticking with coach Mike McCarthy. Why? Well, the reason, per Jones, is, “I have made a change early on a coach with Chan Gailey, and I’ve always regretted that, and I’ve made a change during the season [with Wade Phillips] and regretted that, and that’s the music I’m listening to.”
Both Gailey and Phillips were fired by the franchise after their arguably poor management and back-to-back losses in the games during their time. Hence, the point is that Jerry Jones wants to change the coach, but he isn’t in a hurry.
This time, he is in the mood to bring someone into the team who can rebuild the franchise as fast as possible and lead the team to a Super Bowl win. And who could be as best as Deion Sanders for the role?
