Deebo Samuel was drafted by the 49ers in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft. His first NFL contract was a 4-year, $7.2 million fully guaranteed. Then later in 2022, he signed a major extension worth a $71.5 million deal for three years. Shortly after signing the new contract, Samuel bought a new house for himself in Morgan Hill, California, on a 0.91-acre lot. Featuring grand five bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms, this mansion is spread across 5,275 square feet. However, that’s not all this property includes.

It also features a four car-garage, an office, a billiard room, a formal living and dining room with a butler’s pantry. The design of this well-equipped property is contemporary and modern, featuring a kitchen having a large island, a second sink, and leather finish granite. The family room is spacious and open, complete with a fireplace. The outside of the house is as beautiful as its inside, as it boasts a large backyard with a saltwater pool that has a waterfall and a retractable cover.

The house also features plantation shutters and extensive security measures. Located in a highly desirable neighborhood in Morgan Hill, in the Southern part of Santa Clara County, the property offers plenty of greenery and views of the nearby hills.

This mansion cost Samuel $3.5 million, and its beauty and features are indeed worth every penny. However, his story of getting such a huge contract was not so straightforward.

A rumored dispute hit Deebo Samuel!

In 2022, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero reported that Deebo Samuel was uncomfortable with his dual role, raising concerns about his longevity. They suggested he might prefer to play solely as a receiver to extend his career. Additionally, it was rumored from ESPN’s Adam Schefter that Samuel wanted to be closer to his home in South California. In addition to that, Rapoport noted that the money was not the root cause of his trade request.

So, despite reports suggesting that his previous trade request was due to dissatisfaction with his role as both wide receiver and running back, Samuel clarified that this was false. He emphasized that his desire to leave was not because of how he was being used on the field. He referenced his performance in games and the Pro Bowl to show his commitment to doing whatever it takes for the team to win. While the exact reason for Samuel’s trade request remains unclear, Pro Football Hall of Famer Michael Irvin confirmed that Samuel seriously wanted to be moved and has shared the details with him privately.
