Circumstances couldn’t have been worse for the San Francisco 49ers rookie receiver Ricky Pearsall. His rookie season might come to a halt after he was sh-t during an attempted robbery at San Francisco’s Union Square. Thankfully, the receiver is in a better condition now and seems to be stable, per reports.
Naturally, the event has left the 49ers squad devastated and more and more players on the team are opening up about his condition. Deebo Samuel shared the most recent health update on his X handle saying, “He’s good🤞🏾🙏🏾. Thank god!!!!”
Adam Schefter shared KTVU’s video that shows the medical staff responding to the incident and helping him get on the stretcher. The video shows Pearsall slowly making his way to the stretcher as he tried to maintain his composure. The content of the video is a bit graphic to describe, but it’s safe to assume that it’s going to take a while for Pearsall to bounce back.

The 49ers recently shared their sympathies on Instagram as well. “San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Ricky Pearsall was the victim of an attempted r-bbery and sh—ting this afternoon,” said the 49ers’ post on Instagram. Understandably, this is a hard situation for the Pearsall family to come to terms with and the 49ers want everyone to respect that.
“He sustained a b-llet wound to his chest and is in serious but stable condition. We ask that you please respect his privacy at this time. Our thoughts and prayers are with Ricky and the entire Pearsall family,” the post continued.
The suspect is deemed to be a 17-year-old male from Tracy, CA who attempted to rob Pearsall’s Rolex and the receiver retaliated. The Bay Area receiver was signing autographs and was on his way to the Union Square neighborhood. It is also reported that the suspect was also sh-t, but it’s not clear how. Thankfully, the SFPD was there to de-escalate the situation.

Per reports, both 49ers receiver and the assailant are in the San Francisco General Hospital and are slated to recover in due time. Collin Rugg, a media personality and the co-owner of Trending Politics News, shared that the assailant sh-t himself on accident. At this point, his availability in the regular season is unclear.
What does the future hold for Ricky Pearsall?
Pearsall was already suffering with a couple of injuries, and he already missed all the preseason games. One of those injuries is a “shoulder subluxation” and the other pertains to the hamstring. Of course, this incident adds on to his injuries and it won’t be surprising if he misses out a couple of weeks and rebuilds himself once again.

While the 49ers conveyed that the receiver is in a “serious but stable condition,” we are now aware of the nature or the extent of his injury. It’s also worth noting that his birthday is coming up on September 9 and he will turn 24 this year. The harrowing incident happened at the worse time as the 49ers were about to open against Aaron Rodgers’ Jets and Pearsall would not be there.
There is no evidence of the fact that the assailant knew whether Pearsall was in the NFL. We wish good health and recovery to Ricky Pearsall.
