Sure, lip reading isn’t the most reliable way to decode a conversation, but NFL fans are pretty convinced they know exactly what the pop star said after getting booed. But the real question? Why’s the sudden turn of tables? I mean, just a year back, the fans were celebrating Swift and Kelce’s relationship after the Chiefs won their second consecutive Super Bowl.

You see, a lot has changed in the past 12 months. Now, many fans who once were cheering for the couple have probably turned against Swift. The reason? Well, the pop star is believed to get too much screen time on the screen whenever there’s a Chiefs game. So, it wasn’t surprising at all when the fans started booing her.

On top of that, there’s a much bigger concern as many fans argue that the NFL’s focus on Swift during broadcasts has overshadowed the game itself. And to top it off, Swift had to sit through a chorus of boos from the crowd.

Since then, the global star has gotten a mix of reactions to the incident. After the clip went viral, tennis legend Serena Williams reacted to Swift’s booing; she strongly supported Swift, to be specific. “I love you @taylorswift13 Don’t listen to that booo!!” And it is safe to say that Williams wasn’t the only one supporting her.

Fox reporter Erin Andrews shared her support for Swift during her latest episode of Calm Down Podcast with her co-host, Charissa Thompson. “I feel bad for the most famous, amazing woman in the world who f—ing gets booed at the Super Bowl,” said Andrews. As for her co-host, Thompson, she didn’t hold her back as she also voiced for Swift’s support.

“I love the fandom. Eagles are proud fans,” Thompson said. “They are gonna hate her on that day because you’re rooting for your team…She handles everything so well. And so does Travis. He handles this so well.” 

But! Besides getting plenty of support, Taylor Swift also gets her share of jabs after the fans’ reaction. President Donald Trump hit up his social media handle and wrote, “The only one that had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift,” Trump posted on social media. “She got BOOED out of the Stadium. MAGA is very unforgiving!” 

Indeed, she had a tough night during the Super Bowl showdown. And the result? Well, after getting some unfamiliar reactions from the fans, the cameras were totally staying away from her. All in all, one thing’s for sure—Taylor Swift’s night didn’t exactly go as she might have imagined.
