Unfortunate news has taken over the sports universe as Usain Bolt sustains a horrific injury after rupturing his Achilles at Stamford Bridge. It happened during the World XI vs England Soccer Aid game. The fastest man in the world was escorted off the premises on a stretcher and it was heartbreaking to see for the fans, especially Tyreek Hill, who hopes to surpass the Jamaican star.

Hill took to X when he learned about the tragic news and had a succinct message to share with the 8x Olympic Gold Medalist. The Cheetah shared Bolt’s post on X where he’s seen wearing a cast on his right leg as he poses in the locker room saying, “Raptured Achilles but done know we a warrior 💪🏿.”

Hill shared the post as he empathized with the athlete saying in 3 words, “Heal up champ.” While the news about the fastest man getting hurt is horrific, the fact that this match raises £100 million is somewhat a piece of good news. His Achilles ruptured out of nowhere as he was about to tackle Jermain Defoe. Bolt was captaining Mauricio Pochttino’s World XI team. In an astonishing clash, the England team won against the World XI with a final score of 6-3.

For the past 5 years, the England team had hard luck winning soccer-aid matches, but they broke the curse half a decade later. This time, Joe Cole gave an early lead to his team and the rest of the team did the job. While Eden Hazard tried to level the game for World XI, his efforts came up short and things became even worse after the sprinter was ruled out of the game.

Bolt appeared to have rolled his ankle, or somehow, his foot got stuck in the turf and he was injured and fell. This might thwart Tyreek Hill’s plans to challenge Usain Bolt for at least a few months.

Tyreek Hill and Usain Bolt go way back together!

Hill and Bolt’s friendly scuffle dates to 5 years back when they met at the Super Bowl LIII. Though the duo didn’t race back then, they went through a series of games and challenges, a speed skills competition per se. Amidst a series of fun challenges, it was back and forth between Hill and Bolt, both winning some challenge or the other.

About a year ago in March, Tyreek Hill returned to USATF to test his track skills all over again. He absolutely smoked his opponents, and they were struggling to keep up with him. In racing terms, the Cheetah won by a mile and did justice to his name. This sparked a debate between fans as they argued about their stats and times.

About two years ago, Micah Parsons obliterated Hill in the Pro Bowl Skills Showdown. The Cowboys LB beat Tyreek Hill in what looked like a 40-yard dash. Impossible, right? But that happened and it got the attention of Usain Bolt and TMZ didn’t miss the opportunity to ask Bolt about his thoughts.

“He’s not ready,” Bolt said of Hill. “He got beaten by some linebacker! He ain’t ready for this!” But before he got beaten by Parsons, Hill was confident that he could take on the 8x Olympic Gold medalist when he said, “Yeah, he washed up, Usain Bolt washed up, like there comes a point in your life where you get older and the new generation come in, like washed up.”

Hill issued a challenge to Bolt by saying, “I’m definitely beating him if there’s a 40-yard dash between me and Usain Bolt, I’m definitely beating him,” on Club Shay Shay with Shannon Sharpe. Unfortunately, if there was such a race on the way, we might not witness it anytime soon since Bolt isn’t feeling the best right now. To bounce back from an Achilles injury is a strenuous task and Hill would be in anticipation of his competitor to recover, and for the debate to settle.
