It was a truly proud moment for the ex-baseball player as his NFL son received immense love and attention from the people where he was raised.

The NFL MVP-winning QB has not only been dominant in the NFL, but his college football career also made Whitehouse people proud. Thus, they took a moment to cherish his remarkable accomplishments by paying a huge tribute to the Chiefs’ star QB.

Through a custom banner poster that featured Mahomes’ remarkable records from his splendid college career to the league, the people of Texas paid homage to the NFL golden boy. Taking to his official Instagram handle, the former MLB pitcher profoundly shared a small video clip featuring his NFL son’s records and snaps in the poster. Apart from that, he also expressed his deep gratitude to his hometown’s people. “Great job Whitehouse. Y’all did it right,” Pat Mahomes cheekily captioned his post.

During his formative two-year career at Whitehouse High School, Mahomes played baseball, basketball, and football. He recorded 8,458 passing yards with 96 touchdowns in his football playoff. Additionally, in a total of 25 games, Patrick also earned 1,198 rushing yards and 21 touchdowns.

During his senior year, he competed in a baseball game, throwing a no-hitter with 16 strikeouts. He was honored with the nomination of MaxPreps Male Athlete of the Year for 2013–2014, showcasing his skillful playing since his college days.

After showcasing his dominance at Whitehouse High School, Mahomes attended Texas Tech University and played for three seasons. Now, Texas Tech’s official team will become the first collegiate team whose players will wear uniforms with the Mahomes “Gladiator” logo.

This logo will become the first Adidas athlete’s partner logo to be displayed on official NCAA apparel.
