It’s not been even a week since the Las Vegas Raiders ownership fired the teams HC and GM, and the results have started showing. HC Josh McDaniels and GM David Ziegler were shown the door on November 1. Antonio Pierce stepped in to assume the role of interim Head Coach, till the owners found a more permanent solution to the team’s many woes. There were even speculations that star QB Jimmy Garoppolo might be benched. But that hasn’t happened. Yet.

But it looks like it might not come to that. Pierce has managed to salvage the situation and now has a few weeks more to prove himself. After the game against the New York Giants, Pierce inspired his team to give it their all.

“New chapter, we write our own script,” Antonio Pierce told his team after they had all gathered in the locker room. Just five days after joining the Raiders, he had ended their losing streak of 2 games. In the two weeks before the Giants game, the Raiders had lost to the Chicago Bears and Detroit Lions. In the Giants game, the Raiders shelled them 30-6, handing them the seventh defeat of the season.

He ended his fiery speech with, “I’ll see you m***********s on Wednesday!!” With Monday and Tuesday free, their new interim HC will be seeing them for their first practice of the week on Wednesday. In Week 10, they will be up against the New York Jets. Speaking of the Jets, a very special member of the Raiders team was about to join the Jets. But before the old guard moved on, they ensured that their prized asset would remain with their team.

Davante Adams would’ve been the ninth ex-Packer to join the Jets

Dov Kleiman took to X to share a video of Mic’d Up Davante Adams saying, “I was ready to play last night, when he was talking.” It’s clear that the players love their new HC. And he knows how to motivate his players. Pierce has played and coached under the greats such as Coughlin, Gregg Williams, Steve Spagnuolo and Herm Edwards. “What you’re going to see from A.P. is kind of a chameleon of all those guys put together,” Pierce said.

But if not for a last parting shot by Josh McDaniels, their star WR Davante Adams would’ve become the ninth former Green Bay Packers player to join the New York Jets. Ahead of the Halloween trade deadline, the Jets were seeking to reunite Davante Adams with Aaron Rodgers, whom he had played with in the Packers team. But McDaniels foiled the plan and rejected the trade offer.
