The Jets Nation could probably say it was a little too late for Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams to roll back their years together in Green Bay. But it’s better late than ever, I guess. Two old friends showed what they are capable of against a measly Jags side playing in a half-empty EverBank Stadium.
Although this 32-25 win is meaningless for the Jets, at one time, it didn’t even look like they would win in Jacksonville. Going into the second half, the Jets trailed the Jags by 6 points. Even the six-time Pro Bowler struggled to get going. On his first two targets, Adams didn’t complete a single pass. He dropped two of them, and later, Rodgers didn’t even target him while he was wide-open. However, it was the four-time NFL MVP’s pep-talk that reignited the fire within Adams and Co.
Hopping on the Up & Adams Show, the Jets’ WR spilled what Rodgers said to them, “We can either go out like WEENIES… OR find a way to make something out of the remainder of this year.” And, boy, they did, as the Jets scored three TDs in the second half to snap their 4-game losing streak. Well, out of all the players, it was Adams who impressed the most in the second half.

What did Aaron Rodgers say to the #Jets locker room trailing at halftime vs. the Jags?? 🗣️

Former Raiders WR finally showed what he is capable of since joining the Jets mid-season. He caught nine passes for 198 yards while scoring 2 TDs, all in the 3rd and 4th quarters. And that’s not where he was finished. Adams ran for 135 yards within the last four minutes in Jacksonville. As per ESPN, none of the players have managed to do so in this century. Even their two-time All-Pro CB Sauce Gardner had his first interception in almost 37 games.
Talk about coming back to form when the boat has already sailed away. At least we also witnessed vintage Aaron Rodgers, who made everything possible on Sunday.

Aaron Rodgers paves the way to Jets face-saving victory in Jacksonville
Anyone who didn’t watch the game, would you believe if we said that a 41-year-old was the team’s highest rusher? Astonishing, right? But Rodgers really rushed for 45 yards to showcase whatever he has left on those legs, “I take a lot of pride in my minimal athleticism. But this is why I trained so hard for all those months. Obviously, it felt a lot better. You guys know it. You see it the last few weeks,” Rodgers said after the game.
Well, here’s a bit of history for you. Rodgers was only the second player after seven-time Super Bowl Champion Tom Brady to achieve that feat. Brady was 44 when he did that with the Bucs. As for Rodgers, his right arm also did wonders against the Jags. He threw 3 TDs with no interceptions for 289 yards. His first one came in the first half when the Jets didn’t look like winning. However, his final one was a dagger into the hearts of the Jags as he threw a 71-yard TD pass to Adams.

That helped the Jets get a narrow lead of 3 points with 3 minutes to go. Then it was Breece Hall, whose 1-yard TD rush helped the Jets secure their 4th win of the season. Although this win wouldn’t change the Jets season, at least their fans had something to smile for on Sunday. With only two games remaining, they will hope that Rodgers and Co. can recreate the Jacksonville magic yet again.
