Given all the circumstances, it is possible that this may happen shortly. The reason being Detroit Lions’ search for a punt receiver is currently at its pinnacle. And per speculations the team believes Maxx Crosby is the ideal candidate for this. Although these are merely guesses, Davante Adams has a different perspective on the subject.

The new Jets wide receiver says that trading Crosby would be extremely difficult. There is a slim likelihood of this occurring since the Raiders will not give up a superb DE like him. He appeared on the Up and Adams podcast where he stated, “I HIGHLY doubt that Maxx will be traded out of there…”

It is commonly known that Crosby has been a valuable addition to his team. So far this season we have seen how the man has made 23 tackles, including 14 solo tackles and 9 assists. He also has 6.5 sacks this season, with 7.5 stuffs totaling 7 yards. These are some incredible stats that have piqued the interest of the Detroit Lions, as evidenced by indications from the head coach. But what did the HC state?

“Yeah, we need a little bit more pressure,” When questioned about team improvement, Lions HC made the following remarks. For those who missed it, Campbell said this on 97.1 FM radio when questioned about the team’s search for a punt receiver. The HC even stated that they are presently auditioning some major players for the position. Despite the fact that tryouts are still ongoing, the team is not yet happy with the players who are trying out.

This is why Dan Campbell, at the end, concluded with: “We are open to looking for anything we can.” After all of this, it is reasonable to say that the Lions are eyeing the Raiders DE. But only time will tell whether the Raiders are interested in this trade or not.
Crosby is a fourth-round pick, thus the Raiders will expect a better trade pick in exchange, if the conversations escalate. Having said that, Detroit will be planning to make its core more strong for the foreseeable future. Considering all the calculated risks, adding a player of Crosby’s potential can be a relieving situation for the Detroit team.
