The divisional round is nearing, and the Lions and Chiefs are proudly sitting there, waiting for others to arrive. For the Chiefs, playing in the Super Bowl has become a usual thing. But for Dan Campbell’s Lions, it would be historic if they make it to their first-ever Super Bowl this year. There are still nine days left before we find out. But Lions’ fans are pretty confident and excited about their team’s prospects, even making an earnest request in the process.

Just two games away from making history, the mother of a special Lions fan extended a heartfelt wish to the Michigan Governor amid the postseason. On January 7, an Instagram user Kristen Iszak Szymanski posted a letter her son had written to Gretchen Whitmer, complete with some adorable spelling mistakes…

“Dear Governor Whitmer,

We want to have no school on Februaey 10, 2025 Because the Lions have never played in Superbowl. One reason to cancel school isto never make history. Would like to stay up late and watch with my Family. Please, close schools in Michigan Fed 10…,”  the letter read. The caption to the post read, “Hey Detroit Lions! What do you think about Drew’s idea? Anyone have a connection to Big Gretch?? 😂🦁”.

And, before you know it, it reached Campbell’s wife, Holly, who in turn shared the post on her Instagram Story. Wow, imagine your favorite team’s coach’s wife having your back like that! 

Having said that, we still don’t know what fate the Lions will suffer. While they pulled off a dominant 31-9 victory against the Minnesota Vikings on January 5, earning the No. 1 seed in the NFC playoffs, and a playoff bye, the journey’s not over yet. Currently on a 15-2 record, they could play No. 7 Green Bay Packers, No. 6 Washington Commanders, No. 5 Minnesota Vikings or No. 4 Los Angeles Rams in the second round, depending on their results.

Having said that, let’s see if the Governor considers little Drew’s request, or if he’ll have to go to school on game day. Anyway, Holly knows how to keep fans in the loop. She’s always sharing little glimpses of her family, showing love for her husband, and letting fans peek into the Campbell family. 

Dan Campbell’s wife shared a sweet family moment with fans

While Lions HC Dan Campbell stays away from social media, his wife Holly is quite active on it. And honestly, the coach doesn’t have much time for scrolling social media apps. Holly, who is at every Lions game, often keeps fans updated about everything. Not only that, Ms. Campbell frequently interacts with the Lions fans. On Thursday, Holly shared a sweet picture of the Campbell family on her story. The picture is from Sunday’s game after the Lions beat divisional foes the Vikings with an impressive 31-9 win.

In the picture, Dan and Holly are all smiles with their kids, celebrating after making it to the divisional round. A few days ago, Holly Campbell shared a funny moment from a fan. One fan posted a pic from the Lions game with a sign saying, “Traveled 154 miles to see how big Dan’s b–ls are.” Holly couldn’t resist and reposted it on her story, joining in on the fun. (Love that she’s always down to engage with fans!). 

It’s moments like this that show how Holly keeps things light and keeps the fans in the loop, giving them a glimpse into her world while supporting both her husband and the Lions.
