Just 7 coaching vacancies came in 2021. Dan Campbell, who was sipping his coffee in winter, thought something. He left his coffee in between and video-called the teams, saying, “I WANT THIS JOB.” Out of those seven NFL squads, only the Detroit Lions believed in him as their savior. Four years later, the Texas-born became the only head coach of the franchise who led the team to a record-breaking 15-2 regular season. His aura, brawn, and intelligence have made a special place in everyone’s mind and heart. And the rest of the NFL coaches know this very well!
Dan Campbell led his team to the No. 1 playoff seed. Although they lost in the divisional round, it was clear that the Lions would come back strong once again in 2025. But before that, during the NFL Scouting Combine, head coaches believed that Campbell was the best of all in a bench press challenge.
On Thursday, Dan Campbell’s wife, Holly Campbell, shared a story on her official Instagram account. In that uploaded video, the NFL coaches could be heard answering a question asked by reporter Aditi Kinkhabwala—“Single thought of head coach in the National Football League, who’s winning the bench?” As expected, the anonymous answer was: Dan Campbell, who can win the bench press challenge at 225.

Be it Sean Payton, DeMeco Ryans, Nick Sirianni, or Sean McDermott, all chose their answer–Dan Campbell. Sharing the same praise for her husband, Holly, dropped a couple of emojis as her reaction to their answers: flexed biceps, face with steam from nose, and oncoming fist emojis.
Holly couldn’t be more proud of her husband! After all, Dan Campbell stands tall at 6’5″ and weighs around 263 lbs. A 225-pound bench press challenge? That’s nothing for him. Then again, is anything impossible for Campbell? Probably one thing was!
This year’s divisional loss was a brutal heartbreak—so much so that he nearly broke down in the press conference. Nevertheless, Dan Campbell is moving forward, and a big part of that is thanks to his wife, Holly.

On their 26th anniversary in January, Dan Campbell’s wife shared a throwback photo to lift her husband’s spirits. In the post, fans saw a young, shirtless Campbell (with long hair) posing alongside Holly, who was wearing black beachwear. She captioned it: “And they said we’d never last. 26 years of love, laughter, and growth ❤️ Thank the Lord for growth!! 😅 #ichooseyou #anniversary #bigguyandbabe.” Her love and appreciation for him were evident in her words. And now, two months later, she’s back with another lovely snap.
