Putting the Cowboys‘ 2024 season aside, it was still a big year for Dak Prescott off the field. While an injury kept him from leading the team to the playoffs, his personal sphere lighted up. He got engaged to his fiancée, Sarah Jane Ramos. But something that fulfilled their life was the arrival of their first child- a daughter- Margaret Jane “MJ” Rose on February 22 of that year. The best part of it, Sarah thought, was that the couple became closer than ever following this.

“Parenting brings a new element to your relationship because it’s not about you two anymore, the priority is your child,” she had said to Sports Illustrated. “But [parenting] makes you understand your partner on such a deeper, emotional level, and it’s definitely brought us even closer. It’s a blessing.” For Prescott, on the other hand, it was a learning experience- the lesson of balancing his duties. “The moment I break these walls,” Dak had said from inside The Star, “I’m excited to get back to the little girl and see my family. It’s been a blessing and a great balance.” Not only that, he had all praise for Sarah for letting him attain that balance.

“I credit Mom at home,” he had said. “She’s a champion. She allows me to come in here and focus when I need to focus and she makes sure that house runs. Honestly, I’m blessed to be able to come in and give all my energy here. Give all my attention here.” Sarah will probably need to devote more time to running the house as the family is set to expand once more with another baby girl due on May 22. While the day comes nearer, Sarah celebrated that with her loved ones.

On Saturday, Sarah shared a lot of pictures of her baby shower on Instagram. Her friends truly made the day extra special—closets and storage spaces were overflowing with gifts. Many of her friends took to Instagram to share sweet moments and stories. And Sarah happily reposted on her own account. Friends and family couldn’t hold back their excitement, flooding her with heartfelt messages. They read like “Showering the prettiest girl 🥰,” “Gorgeous mama, gorgeous shower,” and “We love you bb girl @sarahjane.” It was a beautiful celebration filled with love, laughter, and lots of happy tears.

The couple had announced at the end of the first week of December last year, months after their 1st child, that they would be welcoming a 2nd baby. “We can’t wait to meet you, baby girl.” This was how Dak reacted for the first time back then. He also revealed the gender. And Sarah, 30, expressed her feelings on the same, saying, “Can’t wait to raise empowered daughters who grow with and learn from one another,” in December through IG stories.

While talking to Sports Illustrated, Prescott’s fiancée also said, “It’s really special to be a female in this world in this day and age… To watch your siblings grow up and be empowered, taking notes and using you as an example… It’s so beautiful to watch and I can’t wait to do the same with MJ.” And her thoughts on sharing moments with Prescott? She added, “And watch Dak become a girl dad, part two. He’s perfect… He’s the best girl dad ever.” Dak and Sarah welcomed their first daughter, Margaret Jane, in February last year. Now, amid celebrating her happiness, she also took time to laud efforts that make the world a better place.

Dak Prescott’s teammates’ charity and Sarah’s beautiful gesture

Sarah was recently at Dak’s teammate and the Cowboys defensive tackle Osa Odighizuwa event, organised by the Dighizuwa Foundation. Organized to raise funds and support for single-parent households across America, the event wasn’t just meaningful. They put that together beautifully. The venue featured classic paintings of Cowboys legends by artist Marian Mekhail, along with a special tribute piece honoring NBA icon Kobe Bryant. Marian’s Instagram post shows that Sarah and Dak received invitations. Sarah’s heartfelt honorary speech further enhanced the inspiring evening.

The Odighizuwa Foundation continues to make a powerful impact with its versatile work for communities across the nation. Their mission statement proudly declares: “The Odighizuwa Foundation is dedicated to maximizing the valuable potential of single parents. And their children by supporting initiatives that afford them equitable access to education, resources and opportunities both locally and nationally!” With leaders like Odighizuwa stepping up, it’s no wonder people say he’s helping make America’s Team great again.
