Dak Prescott's family joy is heartwarming, but is his $240 million contract justified this season?

While the Cowboys are going through a rough time on the field, their QB has found himself catching hate for his team’s struggles this season. But off the field, Dak Prescott seems to be enjoying a lovely time as he shared a picture of his girlfriend, Sarah Jane Ramos and his daughter on Instagram.

Having welcomed his first child, Margeret Jane Rose Prescott, on Feb 29th this year, the couple have finally decided to move ahead in their relationship. It’s time for us to move Sarah from girlfriend to fiancee of Prescott as the Cowboys QB shared a picture of him kissing his girlfriend while holding Margeret in his hands with the caption, “4ever / @sarahjane.”

Well, this announcement became more adorable as MJ could be seen wearing a shirt that read, “Hi Mommy, Daddy has a question for you?” Although that question seems to have found an answer, Prescott was equally thrilled when he became a father at the start of this year. Sharing his thoughts, the Cowboys QB said, “I feel different. When you wake up in the morning and you see that baby, you understand responsibilities. And everything that I’ve always wanted for myself, but you want that for somebody else even more. Yeah, it’s special.”

Having a daughter was special, and now marrying the love of his life would multiply the joy Prescott had been going through in his personal life. Since having a baby, the couple even got matching tattoos to celebrate the birth of their newborn. Going back to May, they shared a picture on their Instagram, which showed the tattoo on Prescott’s lower right leg and Sarah’s forearm. It was an “M” that turned into a “J” with a rose at its end. Isn’t that cute, from having matching tattoos to matching surnames?

Prescott’s bye week gave a lot of new memories and kick-started a new chapter, which the Cowboys QB will surely cherish for a long time. However, his time on the field isn’t going as great as the $240 million QB introspects after another awful day in Dallas.

Dak Prescott faces heat as the Cowboys got decimated vs the Lions

It was Cowboys GM Jerry Jones who was the first one to throw his multi-million dollar QB under the bus. Pointing out his $240 million contract, Jones said his production cannot be that low for the contract he is having. Well, Jones isn’t wrong, as Prescott finds himself third in passing yards. And those numbers grow thinner as Dak ranks 12th in terms of passing TDs within the league. His second-most interceptions and 16th in yards per attempt don’t look great either for the 29-year-old.

Even the Cowboys are collectively suffering, as they average just 77.2 rushing yards per game. Their 3.48 yards per carry remains dead-last in the NFL after six weeks of action. After last Sunday’s loss to the Lions, Prescott himself spoke about the need of getting better: “We’ve got to get better. And obviously, going into the bye week. I mean, we’re 3-3 after six games and with a long season to go. I’ve been in worse situations. I think after a loss like this, there’s no better time than to test the character of that.”
