Dak Prescott has a thing or two on his mind these days! With the last year of his contract in play, there are reports that the QB might run his contract out. The Dallas Cowboys’ owner Jerry Jones would love to sign a new long-term deal, but that doesn’t seem likely as of now!

At the same time, Prescott, through his legal team has filed a massive lawsuit alleging extortion. This lawsuit comes at the back of allegations of sexual misconduct made by a woman. And the QB intends to fight the battle in the court. It seems the QB has multiple things happening on both personal and professional fronts.

Back in 2021, Prescott signed a massive 4-year contract with the Cowboys. This deal stipulated a $160 million salary over four years. However, according to the latest reports, the 30-year-old seems hesitant to sign a new deal with the Cowboys!

With the last year of his contract starting, there are rumors that the 3X Pro Bowler is looking to compete one more season with the Texas team, and then test his worth as a free agent in 2025.

However, there are also reports that a deal could be signed by the start of the training camp this year itself. Only time will tell what is in store for Prescott. However, there is one facet in which he has taken destiny into his own hands.

The multi-million-dollar lawsuit is underway

Recently, Prescott filed a lawsuit in Collin County, Texas. Prescott’s legal team has alleged that the Cowboys QB has faced extortion from a woman. They have accused the woman of making a false sexual assault allegation to extort $100 million from the QB.

According to Prescott’s legal team, the woman has alleged this incident occurred in 2017. And the lawyer for Prescott in his statement said, “Mr. Prescott has never engaged in any nonconsensual, sexual conduct with anyone”. Further details regarding this entire case are yet to emerge.

Further, the QB’s lawyer stated, “We will not allow the Defendant and her legal team to profit from this attempt to extort millions from Mr. Prescott.” The future for Prescott looks uncertain in more ways than one!
