Some losses rock you from the inside. Chiefs vs Bengals was one of those. The latter were ahead in the game till the last 38 seconds. The scoreline was 25-23. Rookie safety Daijahn Anthony interfered with Patrick Mahomes‘ pass to Rashee Rice. But the referee gave a penalty. The score became 26-25 when Harrison Butker made a field goal from 51 yards. Back-to-back Super Bowl winners cruised ahead with 00:00 on the clock.

The rookie isn’t letting his mistake slide so easily. He has a modern way of recording his mistakes in his memory. The lock screen of his phone. It’s stunning! While talking to reporters on September 20, the safety said, “I got both (Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce) of them as lock screen on my phone so that I can see it every day.”

He also has his family members on the rotating lock screen. When a reporter asked if they were family, Anthony replied, “Nah, they’re not family. I can’t wait to see them again.” This isn’t a new practice for him.

He confessed to doing it before on significant occasions. He did it when a few players of Penn State players criticized him and he just took a screenshot and made it his lock screen. His motivation behind that is, “You don’t forget it. Remember what you’re doing it for.” Looks like the rookie has got ambitious targets early in his career.

Notably, Patrick Mahomes has outplayed two top-notch quarterbacks, Lamar Jackson against the Baltimore Ravens and Joe Burrow against the Bengals. The tight end has had limited success in the first two games. But no one can predict when he will be back in form. A veteran, he and the QB have each other’s back in all situations.

What’s your perspective on:

Did the refs rob the Bengals, or did Mahomes and Kelce just outplay them fair and square?

After defeating the Bengals, both partied on the QB’s 29th birthday.

Patrick Mahomes birthday celebrations

All the pressure going into one of their toughest games and coming victorious was worth it. Once the MVP’s family and friends gathered for his birthday on the 17th of September, they were having fun together. While his wife Brittany posted photos with the QB, his mother, Randi, also shared photos on Instagram.

His friend, Travis Kelce, gave him a special gift, an LV golf bag worth thousands of dollars. The QB was impressed with TE’s gift and said, “Travis got me a Louis Vuitton golf bag, so that is gonna be sweet.” Rashee Rice also gifted him a pair of shoes. On the work front too, Patrick Mahomes is making moves.

Chiefs recently added Kareem Hunt to their practice squad. He has already experienced being in the locker room with the MVP during both 2017 and 2018. Just to give you a brief history, they both entered the league together in 2017. After that viral video in which Hunt was seen beating a girl, he was traded to the Bears. But the QB is elated at RB’s return. He thinks that it will help them achieve a 3-peat.
