All the football fans out there, add one more name to the list of injured players this season already. It’s Jermaine Johnson of the New York Jets, who won the game in Week 2 against the Titans(24-17) but has the fear of an Achilles injury looming over him currently. While we wait for a confirmation, the DE gave an interesting statement.
While talking to the reporters after the game, the linebacker said that he cried his heart out in the dressing room. He mentioned, “I thought somebody stepped on me. Then I looked at the replay and nobody stepped on it, and I was like, ‘Damn.’ But, man, I’m in positive spirits. I got my crying out on the field a little bit. I’m probably going to get a little more crying in tonight. But after that, you know, 24-hour or 48-hour mourning rule for me and we’ll be back to work.”
Very unusual for seriously injured players to speak to the media after the game. Jermaine Johnson (Achilles) did. H/T to him.

There’s a lot of great people out there to take care of him.”
Head Coach Robert Saleh was happy with the win against the Titans, but he had plenty of problems after the game. During the video conference, the coach was asked about the LB’s injury. Visibly worried about the situation, he replied, “It’s unfortunately looking like that. We’ll confirm it tomorrow, but it doesn’t look good.”

While Mosley will be aiming for a return to the defense, Jermaine Johnson is putting his faith in god. He said that though he might not be on the field, he will help his teammates in any other way possible. The LB also mentioned his tattoo and said, “I’ve got a ‘have faith’ tattoo on my chest. I always pray to God before every game, I tell him to use me so I can serve others. And this might be his way of me doing that.”
Their quarterback Aaron Rodgers is also not happy with the injuries piling up in the locker room., as it is too early in the season to be losing assets of the team. However, with first victory of 2024 in their pocket, the Jets will be in good spirits to get all things on track for themselves.
