The Philadelphia Eagles seem to be losing their way as they get closer to the postseason. They faced off against the Arizona Cardinals for the Week 17 matchup, a game against the minnows that they should’ve won. And now a heartbroken Jalen Hurts regrets missing decisiveness in the game.
After going on 5 game-winning streaks twice this season, the Eagles have lost 4 out of their last five. Even though QB Hurts has been performing up a notch, the team continues with their weaknesses. The Cardinals had lost 12 games this season, only winning thrice. Hence, the natural expectation was that the Eagles would come out on top. And the Philly team looked like they had the game in the bag for the first two quarters, leading 21-6 at the start of the third. But that is when all hell broke loose.

“We could have been better, more efficient, didn’t use our opportunities, credits to Cardinals”, said Hurts at the post-match press conference. But it was the Cardinals who converted chances. The Cardinals QB Kyler Murray put on a spectacular performance as he rallied the Cardinals back into the game, eventually winning 35-31.

HC Sirianni, on the other hand, gave a message of serenity to his team in the presser. “The message is to stick together. Stick together. A lot of people are going to try pointing fingers… But we’re in the playoffs”, said the coach. Even though the QB is firing on all cylinders, can this run of form be conducive for playoffs?
