Did George Kittle's tribute to his 101-year-old grandma make you tear up? Share your thoughts!

Talk about a touchdown celebration with a twist! An episode of Netflix’s ‘Receiver’ series spilled a heartwarming tale featuring George Kittle that shows how family—and a bit of “sass”—can make a big difference.

Kittle, famous for his amazing catches and all-out hustle, shared a touching story after the game. It began last year when he talked his 100-year-old grandma into coming to a game against the Cardinals. The whole stadium sang her “Happy Birthday,” leaving his mom in tears (the good kind) and grandma beaming.

“On my way out,” Kittle recalled in the sixth episode, “I heard the entire stadium say happy birthday to my grandma. I’m pretty sure my mom cried for straight 20 minutes, and my grandma just smiled and appreciated it because it was a really cool moment.”

Even Kittle’s teammate, defensive J.J. Watt chimed in on the heartwarming scene, wishing his grandma a happy birthday during his own interview segment. The Niners’ star WR further expressed how he’s so proud to be a part of the franchise that would do something so affectionate for his family.

Fast forward to the season, Kittle made a crucial third-down catch that set up a touchdown by teammate Deebo Samuel. But the best part came after the game when he gave a heartfelt shout out: “Grandma’s 101st birthday coming up hot. She’s got more sass than anyone I’ve ever met!”

Even rookie QB Brock Purdy got in on the action, chanting, “Grandma Lucky!” during the post-game celebration. Netflix’s ‘Receiver’ proves Kittle’s grandma’s a real inspiration—never too old to sport a 49ers jersey and cheer on her grandson, George Kittle.

Kittle turned into a one-man touchdown party, snagging a ridiculous three touchdown passes. The Cardinals’ defense just couldn’t handle his blend of size, speed, and route-running that’d make a GPS jealous. Every catch was a dagger to Arizona’s heart, leading the Niners to a monster 42-10 win.

But this wasn’t just a blowout victory, it was Kittle etching his name in the history books. That night, he became the fastest 49er ever to reach 400 career receptions, doing it in a mind-blowing 84 games. Kittle’s performance against the Cardinals was bang-on! The stats? 65 catches for over 1,000 yards and 6 TDs, which also earned him a second first-team All-Pro nod and his fifth trip to the Pro Bowl.

Sure, the Niners didn’t win the Super Bowl that year, but Kittle’s talent and drive to win indeed won our hearts.
