Rain at MetLife—Will it favor the Cowboys' ground game or the Giants' defense?

It’s surreal that week 4 of football is already here, and we’re in for some more exciting matchups. For starters, the Dallas Cowboys, and the New York Giants. Who else remembers America’s team beating the Giants 40-0 last year? That divisional matchup was astonishing to watch, wasn’t it? Let’s hope we see that same energy in this game because both teams desperately need a win.

We’re certainly waiting for either team to light up MetLife Stadium, as both the Giants and the Cowboys have had a dismal 1-2 start. So ahead of the matchup, let’s look at what the weather will be like at MetLife Stadium tomorrow.

First and foremost, be sure to arrive comfortably at the venue because the game starts on 09/26/24 at 08:15 PM EDT. But there’s just one hiccup—there are chances of thunderstorms and showers. The temperature is expected to be around 72°F, with winds blowing at around 6 mph SW. Also, there’s a 50% chance of precipitation, so make sure you’re prepared for rainfall amounts between a quarter and half an inch (approximately).

Let’s look at the quarterly analysis, shall we? At kickoff, the temperature is expected to be around 72°F, with wind gusts at 8 mph and 10-mile visibility. Additionally, there’s a 96% chance of cloud cover, which will gradually decrease as the game progresses. In the second quarter, the temperature is expected to drop to 71°F, with wind gusts at 7 mph, while visibility and humidity remain the same.

The temperature is predicted to drop further, reaching 70°F in the third quarter, while wind gusts and visibility stay the same, and the humidity will probably increase from 93% to 97%. The fourth quarter is expected to bring no changes to the weather; however, the cloud cover is expected to decrease to 86%.

So, what else can be exciting about the Giants-Cowboys game?

The expectations for New York Giants-Dallas Cowboys game

The Cowboys lead the Giants 75-47-2. Right now, the Dallas Cowboys are on a hot streak against the Giants. The Dallas team is looking to defeat the New York team for the 7th time in a row. While there seems to be no competition between Dak Prescott and Daniel Jones, sack machine Micah Parsons is someone to watch out for. Any other exciting matchups to look out for?

Well, CeeDee Lamb and Malik Nabers are the receivers you might want to keep an eye on. An interesting thing about Malik Nabers is that he’s the first player in NFL history with 20+ catches and three touchdowns in the first three games of his career. It would also be exciting to see how the Giants fare against America’s team without Saquon Barkley at their disposal.
