The Florida Panthers are set to battle against the Edmonton Oilers in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals tomorrow. While hockey fans rejoice to see their favorite teams go head-to-head, the match gives NFL enthusiasts something to be excited about, especially the Dallas Cowboys fanbase. That’s because Trevon Diggs is letting his son participate in the game, just not in the manner you’d think of.

An NFL writer for Press Coverage who goes by the name of Brandon Loree has news that will make everyone flip TV channels and look for the remote if they don’t have it nearby. This is the NFL-NHL crossover that nobody expected coming from this Maryland native’s family.

Brandon Loree took to X and shared a post from the Cowboys’ CB’s son Aaiden’s account. Loree’s post read, “Aaiden Diggs is turning into a media icon. The son of #Cowboys Trevon Diggs will host media day for the @NHLStanley Cup Finals. Media, football, whatever else—Aaiden’s future continues to get brighter .

The post shows a picture of a young seven-year-old boy dressed for the occasion. He’s rocking a white T-shirt with what looks like some Off-White Kicks from the late, iconic fashion designer Virgil Abloh. The caption on the picture said “@aaidendiggs hosting @nhl Stanley Cup media day is going to be the cutest thing you’ll see this week. Stay tuned,” as the boy stood smiling in front of a Stanley Cup backdrop.

From the looks of it, Aaiden seemed excited, as the staff instructed him about how the interview would go. “You will be sitting here and then the player will be sitting right next to you,” said a staff member as the boy nervously sat on the chair. Safe to say that Diggs’ son is ready for his journalism career so early on.

In the next story on his IG, he can be seen on the sidelines wearing an NHL hoodie as he addressed the people saying, “What’s up y’all, my name is Aaiden Diggs. Today we’re at the Stanley Cup Final.” The story was captioned, “Aaiden Diggs reporting for duty [emoji].” Not only the NHL staff, but the young icon also has the support of his grandmother, Stephanie Diggs.
