More good news on the Dallas Cowboys camp! Days after breaking Taylor Swift’s NFL record, the Cowboys’ Dak Prescott is bringing home possibly even bigger news. The NFL community recently learned that Prescott’s girlfriend is pregnant with the couple’s first child. And with the news, the weekend couldn’t have been any better for the 30-year-old.

The Cowboys broke the season’s viewership record during their last week’s win over the Commanders. On a bigger picture as well, they are well on course for a back-to-back playoff spot. And the team will want nothing less than a relaxed Dak Prescott during their run.

Prescott’s girlfriend Sarah Jane Ramos announced on Instagram that she was expecting her first child with the QB. The duo was spotted together for the first time during the season’s week 1 game against the Giants. Since then, she has been uploading images of her traveling around the country, cheering for the QB. And the midseason news marks a happy beginning of their time together.

The celebrations won’t be new at their home though. Two days ago, the Cowboys’ community crashed their Thursday Night Football game against the Commanders in record numbers. The win saw them almost touch last year’s numbers, and break the season’s leader Chiefs vs Jets game statistics. The Swifties accounted for a large part of that October 1 matchup. Taylor Swift herself was present at Arrowhead in a Chiefs jersey, to support Travis Kelce.

For the Cowboys, however, their name on a Thanksgiving night was enough to cross the 41 million mark on the NFL network. In the bigger picture as well, the team is in a good enough place to land them a consecutive playoff spot.

With the win over the Commanders, the Cowboys are 8-3 in the season, and far ahead of third-placed Commanders’ reach. In the entire NFC conference as well, they are statistically the best 2nd-placed team. While the 49ers and the Lions from NFC West and North respectively, are leading their divisions 8-3, the Saints are far worse at 5-5 despite leading the NFC South. It’s highly unlikely that they won’t be making another postseason appearance this week. But that’s not the end.

The Cowboys last appeared and won the Vince Lombardi Trophy over 28 years ago, in Super Bowl XXX, and since have been largely a story of unfruitful investment. Despite their prestigious status as the richest as well as the biggest NFL franchise, their trophy cabinet doesn’t replicate the story. But could the Prescott-led side finally go all the way this season to reach the ultimate glory? The path is not easy, but it’s simple. Just keep winning. And they will count on nothing more than their QB at his best.

Prescott can soon call himself a proud dad, and it wouldn’t be bad if he could call himself a Super Bowl winner as well. But of course, only time will tell.
