Some people’s egos operate on an entirely different level. It gets hurt faster than lightning, and once that happens, they’ll go to any length to fix it. Remember when Noah Lyles, the 2024 Olympics sprint gold medalist, called out leagues like the NBA and NFL? Miami Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill got so offended he challenged the world’s fastest man to race him. And was so sure that he could beat him. Classic ego move! Tyreek, for sure, is one of the fastest in the NFL, but he should’ve just slowed down a bit here.
Now, there’s somebody else to press on Hill’s nerves. And this time, it’s someone from his sport, Cowboys WR KaVontae Turpin. The Cowboys had everyone talking after their recent win against the Commanders. Every time you bet against them, they make sure you lose. In the Cowboys’ 34-26 win, Turpin was the game-changer. The Louisiana native ran 99 yards for a kickoff return touchdown, and it had everyone’s jaws on the floor. And what does Turpin think about all that? Well, he said, “I always said I’ve always been the fastest person on this planet. That’s how I feel.” It looks like Tyreek has one more competitor to race against.

Turpin hit a top speed of 21.35 miles per hour on his 99-yard touchdown return. After the win, the Cowboys WR said that people have been thinking he’s just blabbering when he says he’s the fastest man in the NFL. Guess we all owe him an apology for underestimating him.
The former Kansas City star, Tyreek Hill, held the title of the fastest in the NFL for a while. That’s why he didn’t hesitate to say he’d beat Noah Lyles, the six-time world champion in sprinting. But you know, even the greatest kings have to leave the throne when the time comes. Looks like KaVontae Turpin is more than ready to take on the ‘fastest in the NFL’ throne. Tyreek Hill might not be happy about that, but he must be feeling relieved after the recent drop of charges against him.
Good News for Tyreek Hill
When Tyreek Hill says he’s the fastest man, he means it. He makes sure he’s the fastest on the field as well as off it. But that didn’t sit too well with him a couple of months ago when he was speeding in his luxury car. Back in September, the Dolphins had a game against the Jaguars at their home turf, Hard Rock Stadium. Hill was driving to the stadium for the game when the police pulled him over for a traffic stop and took him out of his car. The Dolphins WR ended up getting handcuffed and charged with speeding and not wearing a seatbelt.
A police bodycam video of the incident went viral shortly after. In the video, you can see the police handcuffing him after pushing him to the ground. The whole thing had people divided online. Even though Hill played that night against the Jaguars and led the Dolphins to a 20-17 win, he still got a lot of backlash from netizens. The Dolphins WR had to appear in court today for the matter.
Following that, the officers who caught him failed to show up at the court today. Resulting in the charges against him being dropped. That must be a relief for him. The Dolphins star now has all the time to focus on the upcoming game against the Packers.
