The Indianapolis Colts shook the NFL dynamics as they decided to make some changes to their roster. Not just any shift, the Colts? star linebacker Shaquille Leonard was released from the third-berth team in the AFC South. That is not all, just hours back he was waived as a free agent.

Now, as Leonard looks to switch places as soon as he can, the news has consequently reached a couple of NFL teams who are looking to boost their competitive roster. Big teams show interest in Shaquille Leonard

Just a day back, the Colts suddenly decided to give up their loyal LB and three-time Pro Bowler Shaquille Leonard. According to Schefter, Leonard is clear for waivers as of today as he turns a free agent. Per the tweet, a couple of teams have showcased some level of interest. These include big names like the Philadelphia Eagles and the Dallas Cowboys .

However, the veteran star might not go to the Cowboys. The reason for the speculation lies in the fact that back in 2015, Leonard tweeted ?Cowboys suck!!?? Interestingly, this information was dug out by the fans from 8 years ago as they started advised Shaquille Leonard on which team to choose.

Per Bleeding Green Nation, the Eagles signing the Colts star might not be a fantasy anymore. The Colts? ex-LB has an injury-riddled past that has hindered his gameplay. As the Defensive Rookie of the Year, many expectations set on the shoulders of the professional were eventually hampered due to the same. However, recently, Leonard expressed his vexation at not being able to play despite being healthy.

There are two things that are clear at this point, if the Pro Bowler wants to chase a ring, he can go to the Philadelphia Eagles, and if he wants some play time, the Cowboys might just experiment with their roster, but that?s also a hyperbole. Leonard used to rank under the top 10 in overall grade, run defense grade, pass-rush grade, and coverage grade for a minimum of 1,000 snaps during his 2018-2021 tenure with the Colts. Since 2022, his performance dipped drastically as he slipped to 81 overall grade compared to his 5 position from the 2018-2021 tenure.

The main problem for Leonard, per BGN, is that he was benched for the most part of his career and the Eagles already have an established roster. So why would they put him in the starting line-up? Why would the Birds fix something that is not broken? But, still the anticipation persists on which team might become a new home for the 28-year-old.?
