This season, Bland is proving to be one of the premier cornerbacks in the league, and his latest milestone stands as evidence. During Sunday’s game against the Panthers, he secured his fourth pick-6 of the season, thus tying the single-season record for interceptions returned for a score. Previously, only three players – Ken Houston (1971), Jim Kearney (1972), and Eric Allen (1993) had achieved this mark.

An interesting fact is that he achieved this milestone in only 10 games. Bland has consistently showcased his true potential in back-to-back seasons. In the 2022 season, he led in interceptions despite playing only half of the games. Now, over the span of two seasons, he has a total of 11 interceptions, which is quite remarkable.

How did the Cowboys perform in the game?

In this game, the Cowboys’ defense displayed one of their best performances of this season as they held the Panthers to just 187 yards of total offense. Panthers’ Bryce Young faced significant pressure from the Cowboys’ defense, as they sacked him six times, three of which were by Micah Parsons.
