It all began in 2012. Cooper Kupp and Anna first saw each other at a high school track meet and sparks instantly flew. “I knew that she was the one that I wanted to marry when we had first met back in high school. I told my mom the day I met her, ‘I’m going to marry this girl’,” the NFL player revealed in 2022. Later, while Kupp was grinding through college football at Eastern Washington, Anna was holding them down, working full-time so he could chase his NFL dream. She believed in him before the world did.

“I was working full time so that he didn’t have to worry about that, so that he could focus,” Anna once revealed. So when Kupp says he wouldn’t have known success without his wife, Anna, by his side, he is simply stating the truth. Fast forward to the current times, their family has grown as the couple shares three children together: Cooper Jameson Kupp was born in 2018, and Cypress Stellar Kupp was born in 2021. Their third kid, Solas Reign Kupp, was born in 2023.

And now, on her birthday, the Seahawks star made sure the world knew just how much she meant to him with a heart-melting tribute. He shared lovely pictures along with his wife and wrote a lengthy caption:

“If you want to see someone’s mindset, walk through something hard with them. If you want to see someone’s heart, walk through life with them. But if you want to truly understand someone’s soul, you have to allow yourself to be carried by them when you have nothing left. Expose who you are to them in all of the failure and darkness, and see how they choose to love you.

“I have this with you, @annamariekupp. Because you have chosen to love me unconditionally and sacrificially. Thank you for walking with me and carrying me. Happy Birthday baby girl! Wish I could give you everything you deserve, but I look forward to a lifetime and more of choosing you every day! I love you!”

Even when Kupp was released by the Rams, Anna stood by his side, reminding him of his worth. “Wherever we go, wherever we land, is going to be so f—ing lucky to have you in their building. You have the ability to turn the tides of any organization you step foot into. The man that you are, the leader that you embody, the brother on and off the field. The standard you hold yourself to and bring others along in your pursuits. People want to be better because of who you are and how you conduct your business. The joy and passion you exude in your preparation and your execution is contagious,” she wrote on her Instagram stories.

“I am so excited for the impact you will have in these coming years. The relationships waiting for you. And for you to continue to tear apart your opponents. To the moon, my King.”

While the Rams let him go, the Seahawks got him on their side.

Seahawks betting big on Cooper Kupp?

So, are the LA Rams moving on from Cooper Kupp? Feels like closing the book on a whole chapter. Kupp wasn’t just another name on the roster—he was the guy. Super Bowl MVP, the heartbeat of their offense, all of it. But the NFL’s ruthless, right? The Rams decided they weren’t down to keep shelling out cash for a receiver they didn’t see as top-tier anymore. Next thing you know, Kupp’s a free agent… and boom, division rivals Seattle Seahawks swooped in.

Seattle didn’t mess around—inked him to a three-year deal ($45 million), which means Kupp is going to haunt the Rams twice a year now. On paper, it’s a slam dunk for the Seahawks. They grabbed a clutch playmaker with a knack for showing up when it matters. But not everyone’s doing cartwheels over this.

Colin Cowherd, for one, threw some shade. “One of the weirdest contracts to me was Cooper Kupp. John Schneider, the general manager of Seattle, has almost never missed on receivers. He has been fantastic with wide receivers. Cooper Kupp does not separate. Sean McVay moves on from a receiver, they resigned Tutu Atwell because he gets open. They went out and paid for older Davante Adams because if you go look at the analytics, he gets open. Cooper Kupp does not get open at all,” Cowherd opined.

Now, Seattle is under the microscope. Kupp is a crafty route runner with big-game grit, but he’s 31 and has a laundry list of injuries. If he can’t bounce back? The Seahawks might be stuck with a pricey contract for a fading star.

Meanwhile, the Rams are rolling with Davante and breakout rookie Puka Nacua. If their new-look offense pops off, Seattle’s Kupp gamble might look rough. All eyes are on 2025—will Kupp silence the haters, or will the Rams be sitting pretty with the last laugh?
