For the Chiefs, it’s their fifth straight victory this season. However, other franchises may not be happy seeing the way those games went by. Some might call it Champions luck helping the Chiefs continue their perfect start to the season. But looking back at the controversial decisions each week, other teams aren’t too happy with the reigning Super Bowl champions.

Although the game was wrapped up in Kansas City, it was yet another defensive pass interference call that went in the favor of the Champions. Former Cowboys QB Troy Aikman, who was calling out the plays, thought it should have been a flag. But he was seemingly criticized by the first female scout in the NFL, Connie Carberg, for not blaming the refs who supposedly love the Chiefs this season, “Troy Aikman saying it should be a flag can’t blame refs for wanting to go home? Not funny, Troy! We know they love Chiefs.”

This week, it was the Chiefs defensive back Bryan Cook who pulled over the Saints WR Chris Olave. But the referees didn’t throw a flag, thereby continuing to feed upon the narrative of them loving the Chiefs. Even the fans voiced their concerns after yet another week of controversy in the Chiefs match-up, “At some point, everyone has to see it.” Some of them even pointed out the controversial call that happened last week against the Falcons. “Chiefs did the same thing against ATL. It’s so ridiculous at this point.”

Well, going back to last week, it was Cook only who made contact with Falcons TE Kyle Pitts. But the issue was whether he jumped in before the pass got there. The referees thought it was fair, as they didn’t call for a defensive pass interference similar to the instance that happened this week.

However, moving away from the controversy that keeps on repeating every week this season. The Chiefs wouldn’t have any complaints even though they are getting called out for cheating. Their perfect start to the season remains intact while staying on track to an unprecedented 3-peat.

Are the Chiefs truly unbeatable, or are they just riding a wave of referee favoritism?

When you are the Chiefs, people are gonna talk smack about things that aren’t necessarily on your hand. But when it comes to seeing games out week in and week out, nobody does it better than Patrick Mahomes-led Kansas City Chiefs. Missing out on rookie WR Rashee Rice after his knee injury last week, the Chiefs had RB Kareem Hunt and WR JuJu Smith-Schuster stepping up big time.

Both players had a sensational night out in Kansas City, as Hunt recorded 27 carries for 102 rushing yards and a TD. And JuJu caught seven catches while adding 130 receiving yards. What makes those numbers special is the fact they were signed mid-season to handle the Chiefs’ growing injury list.

Even for both Hunt and Smith-Schuster, this was the first time they had crossed the 100-yardage in over 2-4 years. Well, when you have Patrick Mahomes leading the line, you are bound to end your drought on the gridiron. Mahomes himself finished with 331 passing yards with no TDs but one interception. Although having no end zone scores is not Mahomes’ way of doing things, he did praise Kareem and JuJu for their special night, “Kareem just runs extremely hard. He gets every yard out there. He catches the b— and does whatever it takes in order to go out there and win.”

Smith-Schuster, who was a part of the Chiefs Super Bowl LVII winning squad, was next in line to receive praises. “Then JuJu, even when he want getting many reps, he was in the playbook and learning. The things that he had lost in one year, y’all saw him two years ago. He fits well in the offense.” But can the Chiefs continue their winning run amid key players’ absence from the squad? Well, they do know how to get a result without relying upon certain players as the reigning champions march on to the next week.
