One of the most awaited comebacks happened in week 10. QB Tua Tagovailoa was out because of a concussion and returned against the Rams. After losing almost 2 months of football action, his return ought to be free of any major errors. But the matchup got scary at one point. Let’s unravel what happened that shocked the fans.
In one play, the Dolphins QB used his head to tackle the Rams LB Christian Rozeboom. It was a scary tactic, as he has been prone to concussion injuries and has come off from a fresh injury. One fan couldn’t understand his game plan and wrote, “Tua Tagovailoa trying to tackle by going head first 😭” After taking the knee to his head in the week 10 game, he was again evaluated for a concussion.

Though he came back on the field, the signal-caller has to remember why he was out. Tua Tagovailoa is the only ray of hope for the locker room. In his absence, they have slipped to the bottom of the AFC East with 2 wins and 6 losses. And if he continues like this, it wouldn’t be a surprise if he again gets injured.
The Phins wouldn’t want to lose their signal caller again. If that happens, there might be serious consequences for the player and the franchise. The league might revise the concussion protocol. But it also raises questions about their handling of the quarterback.
The fans were also angry at him for using his head for the tackle. It was not required. The game had just begun.

Fans troll Tua Tagovailoa for head tackle
While one fan roasted him and tweeted, “Tua Tagovailoa is just diving for CTE 🤦🏾♂️“, another fan was just amazed at his poor decision-making and couldn’t understand what he was thinking during the reckless tackle and mentioned, “Tua Tagovailoa finding new ways to get concussed every few weeks is truly beyond science.”
The QB’s methods have been amazing and unique. In the 2023 off-season, he trained in martial arts to control his head movement while falling. It did well last year. But this year, it has been not successful. One fan requested him to not do such a thing again and wrote, “Tua Tagovailoa should not be making tackles.”

One member of the Dolfans had serious questions about his mental health. He wrote, “Tua Tagovailoa just went head first into that tackle on the INT. Maybe he DOES have brain damage!” Though no one understood why the QB did that, he needs to be aware.
The season is in a decisive stage. If the quarterback stays fit, the Dolphins could still have a chance of entering playoffs. Otherwise, they might lose the season even before it’s over. We’ll find out soon.
